Tonight at our super bowl party we had chicken wings. 80lbs of wings. Buffalo, garlic, honey BBQ, and chipotle wings. And just to fat it up a little bit we made cheeseburger dip. We used a block of velveeta, a pound of hamburger, sour cream, a can of chili, and exactly 15 packs of fire sauce from taco bell. mmmmm. It's been a good night. What did everybody else have?

I had Pizza. And it was good. Better than the Australian attempt to provide local commentary on the game.

I did their wing challenge not too long ago. fun times. They have really good food for a chain restaurant. I try to avoid chains if possible.

We went to one of favorite Jewish Delis and had pastrami. Not 80 pounds of it. But just one sandwich for each of us.

I didn't watch the game. I'm one of the few Americans who don't give a shit about football or any sports in general.

Oh and I had a bowl of Ramen noodles.

At the Escapist party, we had some amazing dip for chips, and the most delicious ribs I have ever had. Virgil doesn't just keep the site running, he makes freakin' awesome ribs.

I have to admit I've always been intrigued by how "foreign" (to us) channels broadcast/report on the Super Bowl; if they try to add their own color commentary or just go with what the Americans are saying.

I remember being really interested when I found out that there was one bar in Reykjavik, Iceland, where everybody goes to watch the Super Bowl, and it's open until like 4 AM or some such. Cultural divides are just very fascinating to me.

I don't give a damn either, but an excuse to have an obscene amount of pizza? I'll celebrate shit-your-pants-day for that.

It was just painful to watch at times. It's even more disappointing because during the season we received a complete copy of the original games complete with commentary. But then for the biggest game of the year, they brought in local "experts".

The broadcasters forums. I was not the only one unhappy with the way it was handled.

*If I post a link to the forums of the broadcaster to illustrate my point, would that count as advertising?*
Posting external links isn't against the rules, especially if it's part of a discussion. Advertising is when you just go "HAY GUYZ CHECK OUT MY BLOG" or stuff like that.

I made nachos with chili, sour cream and salsa as the condiments. I meant to make a king cake, but I didn't have the colored sugar I needed.

Buffalo and Honey Smokey Mesquite BBQ boneless wings, chips w/queso dip, bread w/honey butter, mini-pizzas, regular salad, pasta salad, and Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake ice cream (very popular with the ladies in attendance at the party)
