I have to admit I've always been intrigued by how "foreign" (to us) channels broadcast/report on the Super Bowl; if they try to add their own color commentary or just go with what the Americans are saying.
I remember being really interested when I found out that there was one bar in Reykjavik, Iceland, where everybody goes to watch the Super Bowl, and it's open until like 4 AM or some such. Cultural divides are just very fascinating to me.
If you're interested, the British coverage (including the match) is available to watch on-demand for the rest of the week:

Technically you shouldn't be able to watch BBC iPlayer outside of the UK, but your mileage may vary - I have friends in various countries who have no trouble. Even so, there's ways around it if you're interested enough to Google for proxies.
From what I saw, which was just the 4th: they had three guys in the studio - a regular presenter who seemed to know what he was talking about and two Americans, presumably former players (EDIT: one is the current 49ers quarterback, Alex Smith, the other is a guy who commentates for the channel that usually shows it over here). Over in the stadium they had two guys - a former NFL player and some English guy who usually presents motorsports.
The most surprising thing for me was that I actually enjoyed what I saw. I didn't have a clue what was going on, obviously, but soon afterwards I had a look around and found three really good official NFL sites (two specifically made for the UK!) that explain everything to complete newcomers. I was really impressed at how hard they're working to get new fans in and get them up to speed... to the point where I can see myself getting really into it. I like the way there's something a bit theatrical about it, without going over the top and becoming ridiculous like pro wrestling tends to do. We don't really have that sort of entertainment dimension in sports over here, it's all about the game with just a bit of commentary and analysis. I'll definitely be following the next season. For now, I'm just gonna watch the other three quarters that I missed on Sunday - I'm pretty sure I'll at least be able to work out what's going on this time.
