I liked the Six-pack, Cable's mercenary group, mainly for the name.

The Dark Avengers has an awesome lineup of villains pretending to be heroes.

Nah, I don't listen to supergroups. I figure it's because Velvet Revolver and Rock Star: Supernova ruined the concept for me. There's a Canadian supergroup that plays regularly on the station I listen to at work but for the life of me I cannot remember their name.

Fantomas really aren't a supergroup and most of those groups aren't supergroups, tho if you do want to count it, then every band of Mike Patton's after Mr Bungle, including Faith No More, was a supergroup. most of them are pretty much one off bands.

one of the few out there that really is a super group is Pigface

Yeah, Pigface is kind of an odd example because it does have that huge cast of members. I'm just trying to think of other bands that are formed by a few people and remains just the same four or whatever people. I guess many of the ones I noted are basically a one time side project, though some did produce a few more albums. I've never really heard anything by Pigface, personally. I'm a fan of a lot of the band members' work though.

No one has mentioned Down yet. I am disappoint. I thought the Escapist had a pretty big metal community.

Phil and Rex from Pantera (only like the biggest and best metal band of the 90's) Kirk Windstein of Crowbar, Pepper from Corrosion of Conformity, and Jimmy Bower from Eyehategod.

They're brilliant. They may take about 4 years to make each album, but by god its worth it.
