Actually, wait a minute.
More PC gamers than console gamers
What you never noticed? PC gamers rised up. Then again, 2008 had more console wars. Today, it's consoles vs PC wars.
No it is still more like there are two countries at war, PC and Console but there is a civil war in Console as well...

OT: Interesting results glad to see I wasn't the only Canadian joining in that, also the average age seems a tad higher than I thought it was.

These seem pretty acurate. Not quite sure why you made them, but good work nonetheless.
I made it just so I could practice using the tools on the website I was using. I though Escapist would give me a good chunk of data fairly quickly. :)

Yayy to Master System owners. And Dreamcast owners. The twin brackets of Sega being good.

Good luck

But I'm pretty sure the majority of the users are American.
You have to keep in mind that I am British myself so the time zone in which I posted up the survey would be easier for Brits to reply to.
Plus it's only 99 users of all the Escapist.
The big surprise here for me was indeed that there is more people from the UK than the US. Would be interesting to let the survey run for a couple of days.

The cross tabs are confusing, you need to do "Preferred Game" based on percentage of each age group.

Otherwise, pretty good, about what I expected.
I'm not sure I get what you mean,
I know a couple of them are hard to read, but I understood them ok?

And thanks

At the time I would only have been able to take 100 responses anyway. And the survey was open til yesterday before i started analysing the results.
However I've enjoyed doing the survey it was something different, maybe when I've finished Uni I'll think of an excuse to do a different one XD. Or maybe the same one at a different time of day! XD

I thought there would be a lot more people from Australia than that graph suggests

Good sir?
Great graph
If you'll excuse my moderate sarcasm swaki, but it sounds like you're forgiving me for not including the Danish into the survey to start with! XD

And I PM'd everyone who replied to the original thread...with only 10 PM's allowed every 5 mins it was a bloody PAIN I thought you'd like to know seeing these threads get buried pretty quickly.

Thanks for the info, nice charts, too!
I'm happy that Estonia made it to the charts, i was quite sure you would take it out, cause of low votes for it.
Also, in the "what country you are from" chart, it was a bit confusing, because to me Estonia, Australia, France and Finland were hard to make difference. I'm hoping that Estonia is the second biggest purple piece on the chart.
Is it?

Otherwise, it was all nice. the country/game and other such ones were interesting, too.

Nice job!

2008's forum was very different from 2009/10 forums. Things changed a lot from back in the day.

I sound old...

EDIT: I also forgot to mention, there was also 1 Arcade gamer in the results.
Yay me!

The frequency question a think it had a too wide range, im suprised someone answered few times a year. It could have been better
1. Few times a month, or less.
2. Few times a week
3. Daily
4. Many times a day

No survival horror results :(

just kidding, great results! :D

HA, never mind ;-)
And you're right the question was a bit flawed.

I'm not surprised about the frequency of visit chart.
What I am surprised at, however, is that more Brits visit this site then Americans, apparently.
I found out somewhere that there's more Irish people than French, German, Italian and Spanish put together on this site.
OH YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAH.
To be fair though, not a lot of people from those places speak English.
Although we do seem to have a lot of users from Norway and surrounding area.
To the pondering cave!

EDIT: I'm in the process of messaging everyone who took part and posted on my last thread so if you've seen it then got the message sorry.
No worries, I won't feel left out or anything.

Nice results though, I hope this'll help you with the real deal.
