The swine flu has reportedly spread almost globally already, with a foothold on every continent. It will get worse, more people will be traveling when infected.
My only question is, what is its kill rate?
The kill rate is something that can easily be figured out. 1,600 people in Central America have it to around one hundred dead. One in every sixteen people will die if it spreads out.
I would like to see a source that it has a foothold on every continent. I have only heard it in the Americas. Europe is telling everyone not to go to the Americas, Russia has banned the meat trade with America temporarily out of fear, though noone in Russia is affected. And the MiddleEast is having a pig purge, killing around 300,000 pigs to prevent an infection, though there is no case of swine flu there yet. I don't believe Australia has any cases yet.
If anything, this swine flu is hurting America, Mexico, South America, and Canada's meat trade, and the Americas are hurting from the sudden decrease in travel. A few hundred million dollars has gone down the drain for them already.
What I love about this pandemic is that there are many news clips of people wearing masks. Wasn't it said at the beginning that wearing a mask will do nothing to prevent it?
