I'm looking for a more authentic action expierence and I'm wondering if there are any combat simulators you reccomend. I refer to any realistic tactical shooters for the PC.

Not very realistic but a fun tactical shooter: Republic Commando. See if you can track it down.

Other than that, try Rainbow 6 2, which is farly realistic.

Any of the rainbow 6 games before vegas. Both of them are trash in terms of being a "tactical shooter".

I loved Republic Commando! But not what I'm looking for, at all. In fact, 180 degrees in the other direction.

Dragon Rising was OK but very tactical.

Definitely get a Tom Clancy game like Rainbow six or Ghost Recon and the spinoff Advanced Warfare 1 & 2.

Yeah, it's far from realistic but it's still fun.

Also you could try STALKER. I've never played it but people generally agree it's quite good (not too sure about the realism).

Trust me, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is a brilliant game. Get a buddy to play co-op or split screen with you and you can kill 30 hours without noticing it

If you have Half-Life 2, you could try the Insurgency mod for it. It's punishingly hard though.

Holy Jesus I loved that game. Did they ever make a sequel?

OP: Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is the only thing that comes to mind.

No, and the fact they ended it on a cliffhanger only makes it worse.
On a side note, I'm hopefully going to start a republic commando rp on the escapist in a couple of days. Should be interesting to see how it goes.

TF2, CS:S, Call of Duty (with a heap of salt), Rainbow 6, Tom Clancy's , and more...
TF2 is exactly what I don't want to see, or Call of Duty for that matter...

The SWAT games, Rainbox 6 series, the Ghost Recon Series, America's Army, Operation Flashpoint, Armed Assault.

Insurgency Mod for HL2 multiplayer is good too. Its very unforgiving, and realistic ish :D

That should keep ya busy :p
