Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider has started a campaign to stop misuse of the 'Metal Horns' hand sign (Officially known as the Corna). Apparently the last straw was seeing Miley Cyrus throwing the horns for the paparazzi, what do you think Escapists? Could it work?

Stop people from doing something just because you want it to mean what it once meant, but no longer means. Good luck with that.

Why not try and get people to stop using the word "cool" in reference to something awesome. Now that would be a worthy goal. And equally as impossible.

Hey, cool doesn't mean awesome. Awesome is a much STRONGER word. It's like saying "I dislike you." and "I hate you."

Dislike = cool HATE = Awesome.

Oh come on. I think Dee Snider's being a bit precious. He's just jealous because Miley sells more DVDs.

We all need to thank Dee for defending us from angry mums, so we should follow his charge! Of with Miley Cyrus' head!

Misuse of the word "gay" is far more worthy.

Trying to lay claim to making certain hand gestures? I can't say I know anything about the music scene, but I personally think that's a bit pretentious.

Yeah i know. Homosexuals jacked that word from the English language, and i want it back. I'm not allowed to say queer either. Stupid "living language" shit.

I'm not even a metal-head, I'm a punk rocker and annoys me to see a picture of Miley Cyrus throwing horns. Only throw the horns at shit that's metal/hardcore, something that she doesn't seem to know the meaning of judging by her music.

The horns were popularised by metalheads and its a bit rude considering how much shit the metal community has taken that suddenly all the other musicians have started using it.

Okay, Dee's going a little overboard. I believe anything that is hardcore and rocks should be liable to have the "Horns" thrown at. For I am more of a punk-rocker than a metal-head. But in no means should Miley Cyrus be freaking doing this...
I also think that half of that site is just Dee Snider joking around.

you're taking that seriously? Dee is probly doing it for shits and giggles, he's like that.

the metal horns did not belong to metal at all, they're a religious symbol. the funny part is it's part of "the evil eye" although Jesus wouldn't even think that.

i think the site is damn funny tho

Just get her to do a concert (or whatever approximates to that in her world) in Italy. Over there, the "horns" mean you're being cuckolded.

Tha's what I said. "Metal/Hardcore". I'll throw horns at really intense punk (Minor Threat, some Anti-Flag, ect.), but I wouldn't throw it for Green Day. Its how intense it is and Miley Cyrus isn't intense at all.

I'm more of a punk rocker too.
