This Place (that's literally the name) in collaboration with the BBC has developed a headset that will let you control your television with your mind.
The article mentions that some users had an easier time than others at controlling the device - perhaps due to the unfamiliarity of it, calibration, etc. Currently it is only a prototype, and I'd want to try it for myself before purchasing anyway.
While something like this isn't entirely a new concept - years ago there was a company that wanted to develop a similar headset for use with the original Xbox, I remain hopeful that the companies involved can work out the problems to make it functional. Imagine how wonderful this would be for a paralyzed person to be able to control electronic devices, or even immerse themselves in a game-world with their mind method used to control input.
