I want an MGS4 movie.

Wait a minute....

OT: Tekken hardly has the strongest plot. It'd be nice if they released it more as a mini series of some kind, to get everyone's back story.

I'll probably end up renting it if it ends up at the local Blockbuster. I still don't get their pick for Jin or Christie, nor do I get why they're romantically entangled in this.

Also, I can imagine "This is Iron Fist!" becoming the stuff of 4chan infamy.

Of all the characters in the Tekken series, Jin is probably one of my least favorite. Not only that, but why only put the emphasis on him? Last I checked, Tekken has a large number of fighters and the story is changed by who you're playing as.

In my personal opinion, a fighting game is one of the worst things you can make a movie off of.

I'll probably see it for the same reason I'm going to see RE: Afterlife tonight; looks like a dumb fun action movie with decent fight scenes.

been said a few times, but of all the games in all the world they chose Tekken ... we are talking about the same Teken aren't we? the one where the story was entirely subordinate to the fight scenes.

Oh. wait. I see why hollywood is interested.

I always like Brian as a character.And Yoshimitsu(spelling?)
Brian's actually one of the most faithfully recreated characters in the movie, particularly in terms of his fighting style. No ripping tanks apart with his bare hands though.

Yoshimitsu looks really cool though he fights like a generic swordsman instead of the weird style he uses in the games, and he really just has a very small part.

Is he the one who was talking in the really gruff voice in the trailer? Because it looked like when Jin hit him a cybernetic endonervousystem flairs up or something.

And I bet it would be really hard to replicate Yoshimitsu's playing style in a live action film. He'd have to have been entirely CGI.
Yeah, Brian's the one punching Jin across the room at 1:35 of the trailer in the OP.

I know nothing about this adaption, and I'm a vocal opponent of the Tekken series, yet I'm looking forward to it. Fighters make the best game-based movies.
