As someone already said, that is a myth. But hypothetically, if it was true and you ate one you would have nothing to worry about because the vemon would be digested in your stomach and rendered harmless. In fact, rattle snake venom is also edible and almost identical chemically to egg whites which would kill you if injected into the blood rather than eaten.
