The full title of the AK-47 is the 'Automatic Karishnakov model 1947
Hate to nitpick, but it's actually Avtomat Kalashnikova 47
Well, if you want to be serious about the name...

"Автомат Калашниковa 47" is it's proper name and what you would find written in red army equipment manifests.

hmm...

-the air inside your office building could have air thats upwards of about 100 times dirtier than the air outside. COULD, not ALWAYS, just some scenarios, mainly in america!
-Laser printers and photocopiers put off ozone, and seriously, how long ago was the filter changed?? laser printers put off tiny particles of toner that can enter deep crevices of your lungs and even enter your bloodstream, and can cause Siderosilicosis, a lung disease commonly found in coal miners.
-"The use of florescent lights and/or over-illumination can cause health concerns including headache, fatigue, stress, anxiety, cardiovascular disease and, wait for it, erectile dysfunction." -see link at bottom of post.
-"According to studies, people who sit at their jobs have increased blood pressure and blood sugar, purely from the act of sitting."

and here's the source of this info, from the masterminds over at Cracked.com!

In Nottingham, England, it is legal or you to kill an Scottish man if he has a bow and arrow.
Thats nonsense. Unless he attacks you with it murder isn't legal.
There's some truth in the original post. It's legal for an Englishman to kill a Scot with a crossbow if he is on your land, in Yourkshire.
So If you go to court with that piece of information will you just be let go without any punishment?

Christopher Columbus, contrary to what everyone was always taught, was considered an immense fuckwit, tool and criminal. That's why he, a spaniard, had to go to portugal to get funding for his expedition. Also that whole "Everyone thought the earth was flat thing"? Bullshit as well, navigation was based on the priniciple that the earth was round and had been since ancient Greece and Egypt.

Mole is the number of atoms in a molecule its also comes in Mega and Milla prefixes
A mole is an avogadro's number (6.023 x 10 to the power of 23) of a given atom or molecule. It's basically it's molecular weight in grams. E.g. A mole of Carbon 12 is 12 grams of Carbon 12.
Columbus was Italian, and he got the funding in what today is known as Spain. ;)

OT: People used to search for the Fountain of Youth in America, and they thought that at the far reaches of the world, there were people who had feet on their head, and walked upside down.

But I don't have a Cyrillic keyboard D:
(Win XP) Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map

In there you will find a full table of characters ranging from the standard Latin all the way through Greek, Cyrillic, and even Arabic. You can use the "select" button at the bottom to build a word and then copy-paste it from the box to wherever you want it to show up. It's a long process but it can be done.

Since I'm studying Russian, however, I simply set up my computer to allow me to type in Cyrillic if I tell it to switch languages. It gets hard to remember which key is for which character sometimes, but it's easy enough to setup.

P.S. Those instructions probably count towards my O.T. I'm determined to not post in this thread unless I'm offering up more useless information. However, just in case the instructions were too useful, "Cyrillic" as an alphabet was created by a Byzantine monk named "Cyril" and his older brother "Methodius" back around 850 A.D.

A chameleon can't change into every color it wants to, and not every chameleon can change color. Most chameleons can only become darker or lighter depending on its mood. Only a few chameleons are specialized to use their color as camouflage, and even they can only change into a set amount of colors.

A sea turtle can hold its breath for 3 weeks. (A crocodile usually only an hour)

A snake's venom is actually its modified saliva, and if you take it away (for example by continuously 'milking') it wont be able to digest it's food properly.

Those little pink bits at the side of your eyes? Actually the remains of the third eyelid we no longer use.

Goosebumps? When we were all hairy and shit, when it was cold, it stood the hairs up on their ends to trap heat. When scared, it made us look bigger.

Know someone who can wiggle their ears? Not only could we all once, but we used to be able to completely move our ears around to detect sounds, like dogs do.

!2/12/12 12:12:12 is the last time it'll be like that on the current calendar.

I'm sure I have much more, but those 4 re the ones that immediately pop into my head.
Sir, have you been reading Cracked.com articles? Because I've learned those first 3 in one of their articles.

Theres an old law in West Virgina that says the legal age of consent is 100lbs...no that isn't a typo. consent is based on weight, not age in West Virgina.

Now of course this is one of those old laws that no one enforces but was never offically revoked so i'm sure if you tried to hook up with a really fat 2 year old you'd find your ass in jail.
