Commissioner Pravin Lal said:As the Americans learned so painfully in Earth's final century, free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. The once-chained people whose leaders at last lose their grip on information flow will soon burst with freedom and vitality, but the free nation gradually constricting its grip on public discourse has begun its rapid slide into despotism. Beware of he who would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master.
Don't worry. The moment someone tries to enforce it, the judicial system will bitchslap the law out of existence. And the people who passed it will become laughingstocks.Julianking93 said:Yeah, about that.

I love these laws that just become entirely subjective.
Fuck this state. Seriously, why the hell do I have to live here? >.>
Don't worry, once this law gets challenged and eventually reaches the Supreme Court, every state will censor the Internet!Ultra Man30 said:Why does this law have to exist only where I live?
Actually, these are the people who made abortion legal. The Supreme Court takes the Constitution very seriously.Double A said:Don't worry, once this law gets challenged and eventually reaches the Supreme Court, every state will censor the Internet!Ultra Man30 said:Why does this law have to exist only where I live?
(You know, assuming they don't see it for the utter tripe it is. Even if they do, they'll still probably find it constitutional because they're OLD)
I was also trying to make a remark about the California video games law. The court was pretty split on it, even though we haven't heard a verdict yet (to my knowledge). If several court members would find censoring video games constitutional, I don't see why they would find this unconstitutional. Hopefully I'm just getting worked up over nothing.RedEyesBlackGamer said:Actually, these are the people who made abortion legal.
