As the "a long while ago" in my post was meant to imply, I felt the playerbase of Guild Wars started dying out a bit early when it did start dying out. Not that I expect it to last seven years. I suppose I'm more looking for a game that might last, I dunno, 3 or 4 years? I mean it's hard to put an exact number on something like this.
Because it's not monthly sub based. WoW is designed to keep you grinding for years, same as Aion or Linage, and the main way to do it was making you run rat laberynths again and again for random cheese.

GW 1 and as far as i know GW 2 are not gear based or sub based. You can get pretty darn decent gear very soon with little efforth, and they dont phase out gear as fast if at all. The only way to keep you hardcore and engaged in the game was with PvP, which they did, and i hope they continue to do in GW 2. This means that the bulk of the players will move on faster, and i can right now assure you that the bulk of the players of GW 2 will indeed move out of it sooner than the bulk of TERA, just because that is the design of the games and because they have different money making methods.

BTW the beta for GW 2 is up ATM. I wont have time to play today though :p

Also I am tempted to do a fanservice eyecandy human in TERA, and would if i just had 1 month of sparetime :D

Yay boob physics.
