Any politician with enough remaining personality to think that cosplay is a good campaigning tactic is fully deserving of my vote. Too bad I don't live in Spokane.

I'd vote for him if I weren't Canadian.

Then again, I'd vote for the Rhino party, a party who promised
Adopt the British system of driving on the left; to be gradually phased in over five years with large trucks and tractors first, then buses, eventually including small cars and bicycles last.

Why the hell not vote for him? It's a much more worthwhile vote than anyone the two main parties can offer.

I'd vote for him, I don't live there so I can't, but I would.

It's nice to see that your politician is also a human being sometimes.

Exactly! I'd probably vote for the guy who actually has his own likes and dislikes and isn't afraid to show them, as opposed to the guy who amazingly seems to have the same likes and dislikes as majority voting demographic x/y/z.

Same.

Now the real question is how will his opponents counter his strategy? In an ideal universe that would mean that they too, don costumes.

Wish Obama would've worn that when we got Osama "The overmind is dead." I may be conservative but he'd have won his 2012 campaign right there.

I really don't know what to think about that, on the one hand, it's a cool thought that SOMEBODY in politics will actually have an accurate idea of what "nerd culture" really is (Even if he's only a city councilman in a city about 2,000 miles from me). But on the other hand a guy dressed up as a video game character doesn't exactly instill me with a sense of, "Yeah, this guy should TOTALLY be in position of power." So I'm not really sure.

They do know Terran soldiers are like 90% criminals, 'volunteering' for service to be set free from their sentence if they survive?
Well, they're either criminals or deranged psychopaths.
Once a marine survives long enough to be redeemed, they're sent on suicide missions.
They are all basically suicide squads.

I'd vote Zerg.

I like this guy. Might even get to do some good before getting corrupted by the system.

What's his policy with regards to uncontrolled Zerg ownership? My pet zergling is harmless I say!

Considering the abysmally low turnouts for citywide elections (actually, all elections are pretty poorly participated in throughout the US) anything that might get someone to pay attention is a good thing. Even if it's someone who says 'My God, a grown man playing space soldier wants to run for city council, I'd better get involved.', though I think it'll get him more votes than it'll cost him.

...who's entire life is essentially a suicide mission.
