Ghost was a bit surprise by all of that. Wondering if she had some other motive to buy their rooms for the night and such just for them to fetch some mushrooms. Though perhaps it would be good to help her out for at least buying his food and room for the night. He would have to keep a good eye on the others as he doesn't trust strangers that much to be sleeping in the same room with them. When he was going to chat with Veronica once more the she-goblin walks pass them, he notice something look wrong with Veronica.

Are you alright?

The innkeeper yelled at the room "Alright, time to close up shop everyone! If you're not staying, get out, if you are, move yourselves up to your rooms." As the room cleared out, Marra entered, her veins dimmed. She wore a cloak similar to the one Kane was wearing in an attempt to cover up the strangeness of her appearance.

Eventually all that was left beyond them were the innkeeper, Titha, the herbalist, the mute, the goblin, the insane halfling, the bounty hunter, the singing hunter, the mix blood, a cleric, and a noble.

Titha spoke "All of your rooms have been paid for by the gnoblin. However, it's not rooms per say. You all get a communal room... together... The doorway at the end of the hall... Toodles!"

The herbalist... Gnoblin spoke "Pardon me for a minute."
"I'm not going to pressure you into this, but i have a task of easy performance, that pays well. Go out, gather me mushrooms in a cave. I'll give you 1gp per mushroom you bring back. You can sleep on it, just see me in the morning down here. You're welcome and have a good night."

A job is a job is a job.

Kane walked down the hall to the room, Marra following behind him. He opened the door and quickly found a place to rest. He sat down on one of the beds and lowered his hood. He set himself up and lyed down, falling asleep soon after that. Marra sat on the floor beside him, propped against the bed. It would be difficult to tell whether she was keeping watch for her master or resting.

Veronica shook her head a bit after the goblinoid passed, feeling very suddenly drained "I'm fine, just a bit more tired then I thought it seems, apologies but I'm going to retire to my room" she said with a light bow and got up "Don't worry about the spell, it'll ware off in an hour or so" she said and headed toward the room she seemed so compelled to go to and knocked on the door.

Edna nodded to the elf/orc and headed up stairs. She had been there a few minutes before the knock came on the door. "Come on in." She said and Veronica came into the room, closing the door behind her. "I saw you looking at me, and not like somebody who was checking me out, or looking to rob me. What just were you looking at?" she asked. It felt as if there was some feral beast in the room with her.

"I don't know, at a glance you seem to be a goblin/gnome mix, but your eye tell a different, unknown story, one I am most interested in" She said, that fact she felt as though there was some feral beast in the room didn't concern her as much as the fact this creature easily by passed her defenses. What ever she was, she was dangerous, and if she played her cards right, maybe she could acquire what ever this hybrid has for her self.

"Alright, time to close up shop everyone! If you're not staying, get out, if you are, move yourselves up to your rooms." The Innkeeper yelled out to the whole tavern, which caused many of the tavern occupants to run out in a drunken mad dash; this left only a handful of individuals, Auron himself included.

'Damn, haven't got a room booked for the night, guess I could always-' Auron said to himself, before being interrupted by the Elf serving girl from earlier.

"All of your rooms have been paid for by the gnoblin. However, it's not rooms per say. You all get a communal room... together... The doorway at the end of the hall... Toodles!" She then headed off to help with the Innkeeper.

'Well, I guess lodgings for the night have been taken care of.' Auron added with a relieved look on his face. Then the Gnoblin woman then spoke to those who remained.

"I'm not going to pressure you into this... I'll give you 1GP per mushroom you bring back. You can sleep on it, just see me in the morning down here. You're welcome and have a good night." She then disappeared upstairs to her own room.

'Hmm, why would someone need... *stops to count number of people* nine people for such a simple task as collecting mushrooms? If I was a betting man, I'd think that there is something more to this. Guess I'll have to tag along, even if it only serves to feed my curiosity.' Auron then downed the remainder of his tankard, then rose up to the table with a slight wobble.

"Well Mistlin, looks like our conversation is on hold for now. Perhaps we can continue it tomorrow? That is if your going to take part in this job. In any case, good night to you all." Auron said with a friendly wave as he left the main tavern area, and headed for the common room that had been given to them.

As he entered, Auron could see that someone, or rather some people were already here. One person was already asleep, but the more curious aspect was the glowing hunk of obsidian which looked vaguely like a human female which was sitting down next to them. Auron thought he could see it's "Eyes" following him as he took a bed that was on the opposite end of the room. He laid out his equipment next to him before removing his cloak and laying it on top. Within minutes he was in bed and asleep.

"My eyes you say..." The gnoblin said and turned to look at her. Her eyes were slits now, a deep red. Veronica once again felty her will drain, this time it was gone. "You speak of this to no one, understood? I own you now. You do what i say when i say. Or i will simply use you as a midnight snack." she said, then gestured to a chair. "Sit, would you kindly?" she said.

Again she did as commanded, simply nodding and sitting in the chair as directed, Veronica could only wonder what was happening next, and her plan was rapidly falling apart, hard to make deals when the other person can simply shut you down totally like this hybrid could. She was totally at her mercy.

Edna walked around Veronica. She circled her for a while before stopping and looking into her eyes. "You know how many times i've been taken advantage of by guys? Well... tried to been taken advantage of... They usually end up fertilizing my plants." she said licking her lips, a sadistic grin growing on her face. "Now.. you may wonder why i'm telling you this? well, there's one thing you should be asking yourself above all else." she said leaning in closer, till Veronica could feel the goblins breath upon her own face. "Why... so... serious..." she said then pulled back an let out a cheerful laugh.

"Ah godesss... i love doing that to people." she said, becomming high spirited again. Edna was rather amusing herself with her antics. "But in all seriousness, you can't tell anyone about me. I'll probably kill them, you and any witnesses. But if you're wondering what i am," she commented, opening her mouth and her k9's extended a bit. "a Draculina." she said.

Reaching under her cloak, Edna opened up a pouch and pulled out a mushroom. It was rather small, but let off a slightly blue glow. "You'll be heading to the cave tomorrow, with anyone else who decides to tag along. There'll be lots of them in a pool of water, a rather impressive site. But the specific reason i need these, they're almost like a vampire contraceptive. I feed them to the person i'm going to be feeding off of and they cannot get infected when i do feed on them. Not a permanent solution, but a good one none the less." she explained to veronica. Then the gnobllin flicked the mushroom to her. "Bon-apetite" she said.

Veronica, compelled by the power this creature wields, ate the mushroom with out hesitation. The taste was, bland and the texture equally dull, but least it went down easy. After the mushroom was down, she sat and waited for what ever the Draculina was going to do next.

"Well Mistlin, looks like our conversation is on hold for now. Perhaps we can continue it tomorrow? That is if your going to take part in this job. In any case, good night to you all."

Right as Mistling was about to continue the conversation, the goblin thing asked him to go mushroom picking for gold. This...was interesting. Mistling rarely was given much of anything by anyone but not only was he being paid to go pick mushrooms, but he was also getting food and a room. Not that he would really use any of it, he couldn't eat regular food and he was so used to sleeping in trees now that anything else just didn't work. Still, he could pick a tree near the inn to be nice.

As Mistling left his new drinking buddy, he decided to head over to the communal halls to scout out who else would be picking the shrooms. Half in order to see his competition, but also because he needed to get an idea as to what the consequences would be if he decided to transform during this. Any paladins would make this whole journey much more problematic. But before he could make that decision, something else got his attention. Two people were talking and with his oversensitive hearing, Mistling couldn't help but overhear their conversation.

So the gobbie's a bloodsucker too eh? Interestin.

Mistling himself understood the need for blood. Though he figured she was less able to hunt animals than he, so she probably went for humans or other goblins. So did Mistling, but at least he COULD eat a deer if he wanted to. So they were totally different, at least to him. He wondered what would happen if he drained her blood, would he get another transformation? What if she gave him a stomach ache? Not worth the trouble. No let's just pick some mushrooms and have a fun night out after.

Mistling was feeling a little hungry after all of that talk of blood. He figured he would go hunting before taking a snooze.

Something about the meeting with Edna put Saver of Ashes on edge, so without another word, he walked out of the inn, and headed for his camp site which was within convenient walking distance of the local church, and the local seat of government. He didn't head straight for his camp, obviously, but he took a number of little detours, during which he covertly gathered supplies to set up a ward that would alert him to any trespassers that came within ten feet of his little camp. The camp site itself was neatly secluded on a decent-sized hill. It was early afternoon by the time he got back to his firepit and sleeping roll. It wasn't an ideal setup, but it would do. He set up the wards, and started cooking a meal for himself. He kept an eye and an ear out for any sign of someone coming by to screw with him.

"Probably unnecessary," he said to himself, "But, I haven't lasted this long by actually being the idiot I pretend to be."

Ghost was surprise by her sudden departure but just figure she was tired from the day journey. He himself was tired as well so getting some shut eye might be some good. Heading to the room where everyone would be staying for the night. Once he enter the room he notice some of the others were already there. Picking a empty bed as he set some of his gear under it. Keeping his daggers close to him as he didn't trust them that much.

"Now that i'm done with my explanation, i'll get down to business." Edna said, in her room at the tavern, hidden away from the outside world by four walls and a door. She circled around to the back of Veronica and opened her jaw wide, wider than anyone's should. That's when she clamped down onto her neck, her k9's puncturing the girl's skin.

Where pain was expected, there was none. just a light pinch when the teeth first entered her skin. then... it slowly became pleasure.
"Just relax... keep calm and let me drink deeply of you... you'll have your free will soon enough for being so nice and quiet. I'll let you ask all the questions you want afterwards." the words floated into Veronica's mind, so nice and softly.

"Hello." A voice said, it sounding warm and sweet, like honey almost. Whilst Auron may have been asleep, he was still slightly awake, enough to be responsive. He pulled himself up, and pushed himself back onto the wall for support. Looking at the direction of the voice, Auron could see that it came from a most curious sight, a green skinned female Elf; though upon closer inspection, he could make out some small tusks around the mouth; it must of meant she was half Orc or something similar.

"Oh, hello, didn't hear you come in." Auron said in a quiet voice, not wanting to disturb the other guest.

"I take it your another one of the others that the Gnoblin has potentially hired to go mushroom gathering?" He then asked.

Veronica barley resister then initial bite, but slowly it turned into a strangely good feeling, good enough she let out a low moan, she naturally had questions lots of them, but for now she was content to let the Draculina have her way with her, felt to good to stop her anyway.

Edna continued to drain for about a minute, eventually releasing Veronica from her jaws of life. The wounds quickly healed up to become to little black dots that were unnoticeable unless you looked for them. Smiling, edna let her finger run from Veronica's neck, along her jaw line to her chine only to be pulled off it at the end.

She walked over to the bed, dropping her robe on the table next to it, she stripped down to nothingness then climbed in. With a snap of her fingers, Veronica was of her own free will again. "You're free to do as you wish, so long as you keep me a secret." she said then looked at er again, with a blushing thought. "Unless... no...." she said, blushing harder. "Unless... you'd perhaps like to join me?" she asked, not looking up.

Veronica paused a moment, she was 'worked up' after getting fed on to be sure, plus Edna had something she now wanted "I have no problem bedding with you, the bite was strangely arousing" she said as she disrobed and then sat nude on the bed, blush on her face, legs parted a little. "Normally I wouldn't just sleep with some one like this, turned on or not, but, I figure we can talk business after we finish. You have something I want, and I'm sure you noticed in feeding I am still a virgin, so maybe we can work a deal of some sort." she said, hoping to still salvage her prior plan.

"From the look of you you're not a botanist, less these fungi are particularly well armed doesn't it seem a tad excessive?" The lady remarked as she noticed the small arsenal of weaponry that Auron was carrying with him, to which a small smile escaped his lips.

"Given the nature of the assignment, it probably is a little bit too much; but with my line of work, it pays to have options, you never know what to expect. Besides, you don't look like much of a botanist yourself either Miss. However, I can agree with you on one thing, something about this job doesn't fit properly, even more so when someone hires nine or so people to pick mushrooms."

"That's not for harvesting for one thing, what are you talents exactly?"

"My talents? My father taught the art of Elven armed combat when I was young, seeing as though it is part of my family heritage; focusing mainly on precision and finesse, the ability to deal a critical blow at just the right moment. On the advice of my mother, I have learnt some basic field medicine so I could treat wounds I had sustained till I could find an actual doctor; believe me when I say it has saved my life knowing some first aid. Throughout my travels, I have spent quite some time amongst the Dwarven and Halfling communities, enough so I have learnt some of their language, but I am by no means a fluent speaker; though I can understand Common and Elven perfectly."
