Jane Austin and, although it's poetry not a story, Carol Ann Duffy. She is seriously shit, beyond that even. All her poems are pointlessly morbid and an awful read.
Carol Ann Duffy. Jesus Christ. I read her poems at school and came to the conclusion that she needs to be sectioned. Mainly for the poem about her killing things and at the end is abour to kill the reader at a bus stop. She is poet laureate. Woe be upon us. Should be Seamus Heaney.

Animal Farm. I hated that book. It was too philosophical for my tastes.
How can you hate Animal Farm? It's like how they say if you put a bunch of monkeys into a room with a typewriter, eventually they'll produce Shakespeare. Well, apparently if you piss off enough farm animals in a barn, they'll develop the principles for communism.

I love that book.
It's one of my favourites. Please don't tell me you hate 1984.

Someone (I forgot who) said "YoU sHoUlD rEaD hAtChEt" (i envision them to speak how Satan does) not only was it obviously a read well below my reading level, it was SO stupid. the book could have been renamed "ALL OF THIS CRAZY SHIT HAPPENS TO THIS KID IN THE WORST DAY OF HIS LIFE FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN THE FACT I AM THE AUTHOR AND I CAN DO THAT SHIT IF I WANT SO SHUT UP!"
I swear, if I remember who told me to read that, I will scald their face off with the burning fat of their family (that I had just killed) OBVIOUSLY I AM JOKING, THAT IS HORRIBLE TO DO, AND I AM NOT A KILLER!
EDIT: I read Hatchet when I was younger, like a few years back, but it was still well bellow my level. I wish someone would force me to read Catcher in the Rye... I love that book...
I tried to force myself to read "A Clockwork Orange" It was good, but the slang language was too hard of a barrier for me to get into. This WAS a year or two back, so maybe I'll have to try it again sometime.

I hated Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Some pretentious jazz playing splooge sack recommended it to me. Only 200 pages and it took me 3 months to read. I got through Anna Karenina with more ease. Not that there was anything particularly difficult about Fear and Loathing, which is what I hated about it. I mean, everyone treats Thompson as a goddamned revolutionary, all I saw was the vomited cynicism of a junkie with a god complex. The same boring tarted up logic as a trite Palahniuk novel, and while I realize that Thompson came first, Palahniuk is reading for 14 year olds who've recently discovered Nietzche and Nine Inch Nails, while Thompson is *supposedly* reading for mature intellectuals. Hence my disappointment to find that Thompson was the sad lost little manuscript of horror at the futility of life that was already hackneyed by the time I hit seventeen.

The point of Grapes of Wrath was to be depressing. It was about a bunch of prideful people who had their dignity stripped from them again and again. You see how happy you are when that happens to you.

Oh and Grapes of Wrath had a perfect ending. It ended with Survival.

The Chronicles of Narnia, Catcher in the Rye, Lord of the Flies, Animal Farm and the Twilight series all made me doubt the exsistance of a loving and caring god.
CofN was uninteresting, CintheR was tedious and annoying, LoftheF was idiotic, AF was disgusting, and the Twilight series was uninteresting, tedious, annoying, idiotic, and disgusting. I HATE this f*cking dialogue the most though"And the lamb fell in love the lion. what a stupid lamb." >_< It's painful to read and worst it is on T-shirts, so I can't get away from it. Stupid sparkly vampires. sparkly vampires, really? I mean really?!WTF? "cries to self in corner"

Looking For Alibrandi annoyed the shit out of me. It's one of those novels with no real conflict, just a series of events. I did not like it.
I only liked one of the Narnia books, and that was The Horse and His Boy.

Also: Twilight. Just so that when a fantard says you haven't read it or you would have liked it, you can say you DID read the fucking thing, and it caused brain cell genocide.

Deep Drive, by, uh, someone, I forget who. I got about 200 pages into the book before realizing that not only wasn't there a plot, there wasn't going to be one, ever.

Also... f---... I had to read an excerpt of Mein Kampf for a political science class... ugh.

Not sure why so many people dislike Scarlet Letter. The whole point was to look at the rest of the novel through Pearl's character. The forced scarlet letter against the self-proclaimed green "A".

Im supprised "The Good Earth" isn't the first one on the list, worst pile of crap ever written, just ahead of Romeo And Juilet and Twilight.

Don't get me wrong, i like shapespeare, but R&J is WAY overhyped, Macbeth FTW

Oh come on, Atlas Shrugged was actually a good book, one of my favorites. I'll admit, anthem and the fountainhead weren't as good, but her books aren't all bad.
