It has a dramatic build up with the big bad guy fighting all the main characters then systematically beating them and then the protagonist beats him with a punch. Not even a super punch or anything, just a punch... So, so lame...

Right about 2/3 in, literally EVERY character just becomes a terrible person. The Woman Character (AKA Madame McCrazypants) decides to start treating her freakish Devil Baby like shit by taking away her pet cat for NO REASON. This causes Dren to overreact and almost kill her, which causes Crazypants to strap her a table completely naked and treat her like a science experiment. Then, later on, Adrian Brody has sex with Dren, who is now a Freakish Devil Teenager, and could be considered a clone of wife and his half daughter at the same time. (This can sort of be explained by Dren's psychic powers, but...Well, still!) Then Dren dies, comes to back to life as male, and RAPES MADAME McCRAZYPANTS. I'm not even kidding. Dren impregnates his/her own mother/clone. The movie just...devolves in random fucked-upedness for NO FUCKING REASON. And the best part? It ends with Crazypants SELLING THE MUTANT RAPE-BABY TO SCIENCE. WHAT. THE. FUCK.

And it's a shame, because the first 2/3 were really good.

I don't know, I liked that ending, but I get what you're saying. It is a bit anticlimactic, but honestly, I don't think there is any other possible way for the story to end. Everything led to that moment, and all the important loose ends were tied up.

I mean it is the logical outcome to antagonising dangerous gangs and sadly probably what would happen in real life, but it ruins the rest of the movie for me. I cant bare to watch it a second time, all those awesome moments of the old guy being crazy and ballsy are ruined with the reality check at the end of the movie. Whaat im trying to say is I cant enjoy it the same way when he points his gun at those gangsters, ya know?

In the studios defense Anno was completely nuts AND they had run out of budget. End of Evangelion certainly fixed it though. YMMV.

I'm not sure if you understand how these things work. 1>2>3>4

As in, the ending of Halo 3 has John going to sleep in a cryo pod, then being woken up in Halo 4 by Cotana because they are crashing into a planet. You know, the same one that was shown in the Halo 3 ending.

I know but the way a game ends has nothing to do with the sequels that follow. And I didnt like Halo 3's ending. It has nothing to do with whatever happens in Halo 4.
