Hints:
Number one:
Think will all your might. Try rubbing your chin or tilting your head to the side.

Number 2:
Re-word the riddle. Synonyms.

Number 4:
Not a place for linen and lace, unless you want to dye it red.

Number 5:
Pay close attention to the picture. It's a name etched in a metal object (I thought it was a book at first.) Think of a game where you can engrave custom names into important metal objects (too obvious?)

My incorrect original answers (What I thought at first glance.)
1. Metroid: Other M (They look like m's)

2. Bioshock (Little sisters)

3. Didn't know.

4. Rez (Music, the brain... yeah...)

5. Silent Hill (I thought it was a name etched into the spine of a book. The color scheme reminded me of a survival horror game.)

Finally got number 4. The hint given... sort of makes sense in retrospect, but it doesn't if you're trying to figure out the title. The same goes for the string of words you have to work with.

If you need a hint:

Maybe check out some the recent game reviews [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/reviews/]?
Awesome, thanks.

Had never even heard of that game, so not surprising I couldn't find it!

I love all of you in the first 2 pages of this thread.
Also: No.2 is an ass. What you think of once you figure out the first part of the clue is NOT the answer.

PS.Yahtzee reviewed all but one of the games.

words cannot describe how thick I feel having worked 1 out from your hint

I'd been trying the orange box (the hint being "look inside" you have to look in the box to tell if the cat's alive or dead, etc.)

quick hint for #2
try saying it five times fast

Hey, now we're even! Thanks a ton for #2, as wrong as that sounds!

Even more OT, I have another hint for question 2-2: Zero Punctuation's never going to review it. Also, is there an engine online that cracks those words-inside-letter-jumbles? Those really confuse me.

Thank you both since I'm not sure I'd have gotten either of the first two without your help. Any thoughts on 3 or 4? I keep going through zombie games in my head and none of them are fitting.

Any one have any ideas for day 2 number 4? It's obviously not straight Morse code or straight Braille. Perhaps some binary? For anyone interested there are 28 different squares each made up of a 5x8 set of dots and dashes.

Also on number 3 I just keep trying to think of zombie games and am coming up empty.

Now now. Never fear. Y'see it all comes down to Shrodinger. The cat is either one OR the other.

Well 3 and 4 will wait til tomorrow. I'm going to bed for now. I tried assigning each individual square in 4 a letter and running it through a cryptogram solver and nothing came of it. Though those things only work if the letters are in the correct order. Each could have a letter corresponding in some sort of big anagram. Oh well, until tomorrow.

I tried binary, but at the 2nd grouping, it the value was way above 26.

Just got 1. It's so blindingly obvious once you say the Schrodinger thing to yourself XD

Working on #2 now.

EDIT:

I was just staring at #4 for a while, and thought that maybe it could be Morse code. Dots and dashes would make sense, then.

I got Day 2's 1 and 2, but 3 and 4 are eluding me. I think sleep is the only solution right now...

Oh, you crafty little...

I just realized how to work out #4.
You need to use a couple of different codes
Feeling a little smug now.

Ok, i'm back to binary. 28 groupings, 14 different patterns. Then perhaps a substitution cipher. There are 5 instances of one pattern, I'll make a 'e'.
