By all the Gods, Puzzle #4 was awesome. More of that, please!

The line above contains a spoiler.

I have to go back and work out how to do that properly, but for now, 1/4 lights. Still can't get my head around number 1 (it's not Portal, I know that much.)

#2 for day 2 is kicking my ass. I've tried the suggestion of saying the clue fast over and over but it's not helping. I have a new phrase but it's worthless to me.

All out of answers. So what? I googled and yielded nothing useful.

Edit, never mind, I'm a fucking idiot. Say the PUZZLE part over and over. It's practically poetry.

I actually simply guessed 2-4. I picked a random game name and it was actually correct. I am the luckiest bastard ever xD

Wow, hurts when I feel like I should get the clue that others did on 1 and 3. Oddly got 2 and 5 easy lol.
Follow the instructions on 1, its quite obvious when you realize about it.
Thanks alot. It was too obvious. Helps to write it down. Only 3 & 4 now.
Same here, and I've got some people saying the clue for 4 is helpful, others saying it isn't. I'm thoroughly confused.
Think of a recent game where you wouldn't wear something made of linen and lace.
That is rather vague.

Also I'm stuck on Day 1, Puzzle 3. What the hell is Match, Mix then patch to fix supposed to mean? It might as well be in Chinese.

This has me stumped.
It just doesn't sound like anything real when I say it over and over.

Match up the codes with their , mix the letters up. The last part is a more subtle clue.

I gotta say, people on this thread, you guys are awesome. Would never have gotten the first two days complete without the helpful hints on here. Maybe I can start paying back.

The numbers in the puzzle all correspond to something, the fact that the highest number is 22 is key. Then once you figure out what they correspond to, you have to scramble them around to find what you want.

Focus on the first two words only. They should help you get the rest of the title easily. Not many to choose from once you figure out the first word.

It didn't to me either, it's quite language dependent. Try using Red Spy's Google Translate trick.

YAY! All 5!

Thanks to everyone who helped, and the friendly people at Google, although I am ashamed to say I have only played 1 of them :/
So far I've only played one of them to. How many letters does the answer to #4 have?
Edit: Got it now thanks guys, Now If only I could get 1 and 2
<spoiler= re-Edit: Just 2 now> I actually did read it sideways the first time but the middle part stayed a < symbol

2 ISN'T A "COLD DIRECTIVE" AT ALL! WTF?
Luhrsen said:
Sadly 5 is not a puzzle. It's a google search. Unless you've played the game personally.
Or seen the promos and have Asperger Syndrome. Which I did and do.
Sadly in my case the aspergers didn't help.

Match the numbers to something less resembling numbers.
i.e., Text.
Mix and shuffle the results until it makes sense.
Patch it into the answer.

I have to say, today's puzzles were on a whole different level. I couldn't have figured them out without the help of other Escapist giving out hints.
But i have to say, some hints made it kinda too easy to figure it out.
And also, i had no idea who the kid from 2-1 was.
But yeah, thanks for all the hints, this is really fun.
And shows that the Internet is a force to recon, if united , that is.
But if this is only second-day material, most will get eaten alive in the next few days, me included.

OOH!!!

I FINALLY got 3... after re-entering the name of the game I entered 20 minutes ago...

I was always terrible with "ae"'s and "ea"'s

Now all I need is #1...

Why did I say that?

Calumon: I think you're empty in your biiiiig head!
*smacks Jack in the head*

Teach him, Calumon! XD
Oh, they get harder. I promise you, they do. Today's puzzles are just to give you a feel for the types of solving you might have to do.

You'll be cursing our names by week's end. Trust me.
What do you mean by week's end? I'm there already and I don't think I've been doing this for an hour.

That did it! After half a minute of chanting those syllables (undoubtedly sounding like a complete nut-job - thanks Escapist Staff) it sort of clicked and I went with what it sort of could have almost sounded like.

That was it.

Thanks, guys!

I absolutely cannot wait for Friday's puzzle. Seriously, Day 2 Puzzle 4 was the most fun I ever had solving any kind of puzzle (and I'm so proud that I pretty much did it on my own, with the sole exception of one earlier hint refering to the kind of code it was), and I'm really, really hoping this is an indication of things to come.

Also, less "letter-shaking" puzzles please, more awesome cipher-stuff.

I get the feeling the escapist probably get off on making us feeling stupid and insignificant.

What the hell is 2-4 on about anyway?

Is that correct? Because If so I'm not sure what to do with it.
Yes, that is the direct text representation of the message in #4. Perhaps you should turn the words into digits and punctuation.

It'll be more useful that way.
I was so lazy i just used what was translated and that was easy. DAY 2 COMPLETE!!!!!!!!
