The difference being that this weapon isn't superior to the others, it's just different- another way of playing.SteveBurger said:Now that I've read the words "fire damage resistance" in a Valve update, the only thing missing to completely make this an RPG is grinding by killing rat-like creatures to level up.
...the guard dog update wasn't even theirs nor was it on their site. It occurs to me you probably didn't even bother to research such information and assumed you could easily troll this topic. Even if you were trying to merely be ironic and funny, the humor is nonexistent. I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul.Skybert88 said:You guys really got to learn when the TF2 developers are f...in with you . ofcourse there is not going to be a sword and a shield, duuuuh. Did we ever get the guarddog? Or any of the other crap they keep babbling about on their blog?
Most likely is the sword / shield a tradeoff for the bottle as the bonus weapon if demo wins
Which nobody quite gets. It would have to take something really special to get the demoman players to stop using the sticky bomb launcher, and this would do it.Danny Ocean said:The difference being that this weapon isn't superior to the others, it's just different- another way of playing.SteveBurger said:Now that I've read the words "fire damage resistance" in a Valve update, the only thing missing to completely make this an RPG is grinding by killing rat-like creatures to level up.
We already do:SteveBurger said:Now that I've read the words "fire damage resistance" in a Valve update, the only thing missing to completely make this an RPG is grinding by killing rat-like creatures to level up.
I'm sure the last Demoman weapon will deal with explosives. Though honestly I find the shield to be far more appealing than the sticky bomb launcher. But maybe that's just because Demomen will now be charging into my sentries instead of blowing them up.Kollega said:I still hope the shield is not real thing. I want some more explosives, dammit! The sword sounds awesome, though.
They gave the Demoman these weapons so they wouldn't have to make a new class. A lot of people have been asking for a melee class, and this is it. I don't get why some people think the Demoman needed more ways to kill Engineers. He was already good at blowing up sentries. He doesn't need a weapon that makes him better at what he is already capable of doing.SuperMse said:As much as I find this amusing, I also somewhat see this as contradicting the class a little bit. This turns our Demoman into less of a defensive/I'ma kill your shit Engineer class and into a full-blown melee fighter, which doesn't really have any connections to explosives at all, now does it? If they wanted to make a melee class, why don't they just make an all new class based around melee instead of converting a pre-existing one?
