Woot! I always wanted to play serious Melee in Tf2, but my baseball-bat tipped ballistic-scouts always got mowed down...

but now... I (will) have... the EYELANDER! YES! and the CHARGIN' TARGE! YES!

It's like they're adding a whole new class...

Them Sollys better run, if this is how awesome the unlocks this time around are I am SO jumping back in as Demo after today's last final. EDIT: To try to earn the fourth unlock, of course!

You guys really got to learn when the TF2 developers are f...in with you . ofcourse there is not going to be a sword and a shield, duuuuh. Did we ever get the guarddog? Or any of the other crap they keep babbling about on their blog?

Most likely is the sword / shield a tradeoff for the bottle as the bonus weapon if demo wins

Also, it's a pleasant twist. I really want to see what the soldier gets now, though.

I'm guessing that they won't completely destroy the "demo" in Demoman. He'll probably get a claymore mine of some sort to replace the grenade launcher.

...the guard dog update wasn't even theirs nor was it on their site. It occurs to me you probably didn't even bother to research such information and assumed you could easily troll this topic. Even if you were trying to merely be ironic and funny, the humor is nonexistent. I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul.

Which nobody quite gets. It would have to take something really special to get the demoman players to stop using the sticky bomb launcher, and this would do it.

(well... Not really the leveling up bit, but I stand by the rat-like qualities)

I'm sure the last Demoman weapon will deal with explosives. Though honestly I find the shield to be far more appealing than the sticky bomb launcher. But maybe that's just because Demomen will now be charging into my sentries instead of blowing them up.

They gave the Demoman these weapons so they wouldn't have to make a new class. A lot of people have been asking for a melee class, and this is it. I don't get why some people think the Demoman needed more ways to kill Engineers. He was already good at blowing up sentries. He doesn't need a weapon that makes him better at what he is already capable of doing.

Also I think it will be hilarious to see a Demoman charging at people with a beer bottle instead of the sword.
