I feel like I'm going to have a bad time.

Isn't chapter 9 Nova Prospekt? Don't you mean the riverboat level, chapter 4?Xeros said:Half-Life's chapter 9 - "Apprehension". The game and chapter that started my videogame-induced hydrophobia. As much as I love this game, I usually have to quit for a breather before tackling this chapter, or skip it altogether. I fear no man, but that thing... it scares me.
You're thinking HL2. Xeros is talking about the first game, the level in question has a lot of flooded ruins. It's right after the rocket launch.Cowabungaa said:Isn't chapter 9 Nova Prospekt? Don't you mean the riverboat level, chapter 4?
Ohh! Silly me. Yes the one with the swimming beasties and whatnot, where you get the crossbow. Yeah that level was a hassle.Dalisclock said:You're thinking HL2. are you playing the directors cut? because they edited the boss battle levelsNachtwens said:All boss fights in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. First off; why the hell are there boss fights in that game to begin with? A boss fight is supposed to be like an exam, where the game tests all the skills you've learned up until that point. DE:HR is a stealth game, so unless you have to make use of your stealth skills, boss fights don't have a place in this game.
Secondly, if you're going for a pacifist run you have to keep a lethal gun in your inventory and hoard ammo purely for those boss fights. I screwed up the first time I played the first big mission. I ignored all guns and ammo because I wanted to do a pacifist run. Boy was I salty when it turned out it was impossible to beat the stupid boss at the end of the level without a proper weapon.
Overall I enjoyed my time with Human Revolution a lot, but the bossfights felt tagged on and ruined the flow of the game.
I don't think so, but it was quite a while ago so I can't really remember. I bought and played it at release.pookie101 said:are you playing the directors cut? because they edited the boss battle levels
for me it was the start of metal gear solid 5.. that freaking hospital tutorial dragged.. and dragged
ah that explains it. they altered the levels so you could defeat the bosses with stealth builds for instance activating turrets to take one out rather than having to shoot them. it also integrates the DLC including the story DLC into the main game. really has a good and different feel to it nowNachtwens said:I don't think so, but it was quite a while ago so I can't really remember. In what way were they edited?
O wow, I didn't know that. Now I might consider buying the Directors Cut, cause I haven't played the DLC either.
