Atlus has never failed to deliver for me. The Persona series, Odin Sphere, and now Catherine is coming out... they get under my skin and give me some amazing things.
That one dev you can always count on.

To clarify, LA Noire was developed by Team Bondi and Max Payne 1 & 2 by Remedy Entertainment, not Rockstar. RS are only the publisher.omega_peaches said:

Bioware - even including DA2, they have a brilliant record.
Bethesda dev team - not always so big on the games that Bethesda publishes, but I've not once been let down by a game ever produced by Bethesda.
Valve - I'm not a massive, diehard Valve fan, but their games are always interesting, and, so far as I know, they've never made a bad one. Besides, Portal 2's co-op was good enough to keep me playing until four in the morning, and that's got to count for quite a bit.

I'd say Valve, considering their worst game is counter-strike and even then it's still great.
Egosoft have yet to let me down with their X series of space sims.

Blizzard tends to produce quality games, but as a developer they've made some very poor decisions ABOUT their games ("Localized" versions of StarCraft II, anyone?), so I'm going to have to throw my hat in for Valve instead. Their games might take long to get out there, but when they do, they're as close to perfect as any release has been.
Valve. They have yet to disappoint me with their games. Yes, they take forever to release anything, but I'm willing to put up with it for the quality.
