I'm really surprised no one has said Telltale yet. Their best are just beyond awesome, but even their not so great (wallace and grommit, or strong bad) still are worth playing. Hell, even their "let's make money!" thing, Poker Night, was pretty funny.

Now I'm gonna say Kerebos. The Sword of the Stars devs. Also, Blind-Mind studios are awesome. They keep adding great features to Star ruler. I haven't seen them make a mistake yet.

Valve. I have yet to play a game by them that I didn't enjoy, and three of my top five favourite games are all Valve games. Also, as a customer, they've just treated me exceptionally well, like including Steam with Portal 2 on the PS3. I wouldn't have been able to play the co-op otherwise, because the only other person I know who has Portal 2 has it on a Mac. Really, the only complaint I have about Valve is their release schedule, which I don't think is as big of a deal as people make it out to be.

Bethesda
Rockstar

Why?
Because I know they go above and beyond when making a game that will keep me entertained for hours and hours on end

(NO MULTIPLAYER DOES NOT COUNT...go take your CoD + MP somewhere else!)

Rockstar's up there, but I'll go with Bethesda. Even Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth- arguably their worst game- is amazing.

Blizzard, Rockstar, whatever studio Sudo 51 works for. Oh and Valve, thats about it for me.

You could just trade the crates for items from players. I just traded 2 crates for a Tomislav, since I have no desire to buy those fucking keys. Now if they made the keys cheaper, allowed you to add less than $5 to your wallet THAN maybe I would buy one or two. Or if they made them cheaper and sold them in a bundle of so many.

Bioware without a doubt (including DA II).
Never been another company that i could always count on, except for Rare back in the N64 days.

Valve and Bethesda. Every one of their games I've played I've really enjoyed. I know, it's not original, but it's true.

For me it would have to be
Bethesda
And suprisingly Lionhead. I love the Fable games and even though a bit shot they always make me laugh and always generally have a great time playing then

You can count on Blizzard to make unoriginal games, polished to a shine, with an eye for game balance and with continued patch support.

You can count on Bioware to cram a great amount of mediocre dialogue and even more fake dialogue choices in their games.

Bethesda will always make their RPGs big, full of bugs and flaws, then count on customers to fix the game for them.

Great if you like those kind of games.

Gonna have to go with pandemic, double fine, obsidian, bethesda, rockstar and bungie before/during halo 3 as well as bioware previous to ME 2. Finally from software only in regards to CH, as I haven't played any AC games other than 4 and answer and they were only ok in my book.
