theres no faulty tactic to that boss, you have to do you whole side first and kill everything before THE FUCKING tree is summoned, thats how I beat it, took me a few months to beat it as well. And the non tactic waited boss is just keep mashing, or something, I don't remember him very well. Yep, thats how you do it, don't count on anything to work on the chic boss, I had to turn it onto easy mode to beat her in every battle she was in.Wapox said:

Brink just because the single player was so awful. I dare say that this game could have some of the worst AI's in gaming history. I saw one of my bot teammates shooting at a corner while the enemy bot massacred my team while I was trying to get some stupid data disc. I literally sold the game within 48 hours of purchase.

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. Bought this game on a whim once. It was actually a reward for good grades. Not a bad game until I got to the freaking desert level. You had to traverse across this desert with an ever depleting water meter. You had to keep finding oasis-es whilst fighting off random encounters. NO WAY.

Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor. Has ANYONE here finished that game (or even made it through the first dungeon?) Even as a huge D&D nerd I couldn't bear to play through it. It was slower than a paralysed walrus. But at least I did not do as my friend, who spent something like 150 dollars in eagerness to get it before the european release...

Well there are mods to increase graphics, its a old game remember that. and for AI there are tons of mods which improve AI. Both those problems can be easily solved. But your right vanilla AI sucks.Jakub324 said:

The real question are what are the games you just can't finish that you intend on finishing and what are the ones that you tried and just refuse to.
I would have to say FF13. Even got to the Gran Pulse section where the gameplay was supposed to have "opened up"... but it felt like it was more grinding for materials and hunts from FF12 than actual open ended gameplay. That and after checking out a few guides to find out on all the gear I missed that would make it monumentally harder to continue with the plot... I said screw it and Youtube'd the game from that point on.
Also The Last Remnant. Got really close, but the frustrations with the battle system stopped me dead in my tracks.

Hmm... I believe that, if you don't include games I've only rented, there are only two games I've tried to beat and then didn't. They are:
-I wanna be the guy: I'm at the very final battle for this one. Thing is, I got distracted by new games I got (don't remember which) and kind of let it aside. Now it's been over a year and I don't think I have much chance of beating it without a LOT of extra practice. I'd start over, but as much as I loved the game, I don't feel like the maddening frustration will be as interesting the second time around, especially since I won't remember most of the traps.
-Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life: The biggest disappointment out of any game I've ever had. I've been a fan of the series since I was 9 (I can't help it. I just love it and I'm not too sure why) and I was quite excited about all of the new ideas that were being thrown into the game. I even preordered it to make sure I would get it as soon as it came out. It turned out to be the blandest game in the series, with very little to do past the third year. And they want you to play for 10? (I'm aware that later releases of the game shorten it, but even then...)
I'm also on a temporary hiatus of Professor Layton and the Curious Village. I've beaten it, but the two last puzzles (134 and 135) I still haven't solved. I got frustrated, so I took a break and will get back to them later, as that usually helps. I will not let that game beat me.
You could also count Majora's Mask in a different sense; I've beaten it once, and though I love it and have attempted at replaying it many times, I've never re-beaten it.

Paper Mario and the thousand year door, it was a fun game that i rented once. I remember getting to the final boss and whenever i would get close to killing her, she would always go ahead of my turn and eat the crowd's souls and get back to full health. As I said, i rented it once, but never again.
