RTS's and turn based combat games. Ugh *shivers*

same here for the turn base combat for me it feels like am not so much in the fight but more observing it while trying to understand what all the different moves and crap do

EXACTLY!!! Its just too boring for me to handle. I love the story of Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger and shit like that, but I just can't take the combat.

yeah i know what you mean i have friends that play games like final fantasy and shiz like that and when they talk about what the storys are about and that i think aww cool i might be able to get into that but when it comes to actaully playing the game the combat for me feels more like a task like it becomes the anouying part of the game just like escort missions are in others what kind of destroy the hole fun of the game because i wouldnt say combat is the main and only thing i look for in a game but its one of the key ellements actaully the only turn based combat game i ever completed was pokemon blue lol

wow that would be my to do list for games to check out is it coming out on the 360 or just the ps3 if so i will just get my brother to buy it lol its what i normally do if i cant get it on my gaming systerm lol

I'm the same way. My best friend loves Final Fantasy and I love the story to them, but I just can't play them. Ah, well, at least they're coming out with Final Fantasy 13 Versus (If you don't know what that is, its a different version of FFXIII but instead of turn based, its real time fighting.

Unfortunately, no one knows when its gonna come out. Not even the developers have even hinted at when its gonna be out. They said by this Christmas, but then it was pushed back to next Christmas, then they said April, then it was back to this Christmas, So really no one knows

Fighting Games, I just cant be botherd taking time out to learn all the super cool combos, i would rather just button mash and hope for the best!
I used to be terrible at RPG's but i have recently gotten into them and iam steadily getting better.

Took me a good couple years to be good at A fighting game. I finally figured out Cervantes and can beat a lot of higher level people online. But that's about it I suck at every other character/fighting game. Another genre I can't play are flight games...(Blazing Angels, Ace Combat, etc.)

Fighting games that aren't SSB, Console FPS unless it's Metroid Prime, Real Time RPG's except Kingdom Hearts, I haven't stepped into the waters of RTS too much but I'm very forgetful so unless it's Pikmin, I would probably be totatlly screwed. Fire Emblem 6 is making me doubt my skills in Turn Based Strategy though. Oh and I suck at rhythm games.

Basically I'm good at genres, but in spades.

yep two games that i cant wait to spend my hours and cash on lol also bioshock 2 is coming out near to the end of the year so that should give me somthing to do for a week or so lol

I suck at RTS's and I detest racing games. Anything else I can usually play pretty well.

I used to be the best in my neighborhood at fighting games (SF, Tekken, SC, etc.) before online play was all the rage. I lost interest for a few years, and while I can't say that I suck at fighters now, I all but refuse to play online - most people I've ever run into online in fighting games are either:

A) spammers who pick ONE guy and use the same two moves over and over and over and over...
B) people who do NOTHING but play this particular game, and only care about regaining their place in the top 100 world rankings (usually a tie-in to A)
C) quitters who will play until they're a millisecond away from death and then drop out (usually a tie-in to A and B)

On a rare occasion I will find people who mix up moves, have fun, and are gracious even when they fuck you up bad. But for the most part I now stay away from fighters, and thus suck.
