Yeah, I have to agree with you about Jack. She's convinced that she's had the worst life in the entire galaxy, but if you look at the rest of crew, or even just Shepard, you see that she's clearly wrong. Of course, that doesn't stop her from thinking of herself as the center of the freaking universe.

She's not easy to like, but I find Jack's loyalty mission to be one of the most interesting and a highlight mission in ME2. Jack is one of the most feared characters in the ME series, and yet she is so very vulnerable; that makes for some powerful and memorable character moments.

Her loyalty mission is great but every other scene with her is forced characterization.

I felt that there were moments of 'forced' characterization, but that could be said for every other member of your crew at some point. Overall, I was more than satisfied, though.

But, as for this, hmmm...I'd have to say Ken Rosenberg from GTA:Vice City.
The Whiny little ***** with no redeeming qualities used to get on my nerves everytime I played it.

I had no time to get to know ANY of the characters in Mass Effect because I got them all so bloody fast and I'd already levelled up Ash and that other bloke. Unless picking the Krogan or that geeky ***** with the visor over her face who somehow makes all the nerds Mass Erect makes the game dispense blowjobs I have every right to loathe each part character in that game.

Sorry to go on a rant but when it came time for bioware to get their OWN STYLE party member introduction process right they dun goofed. Oi vey...

Sora from KH2, I loved playing as Roxas he had such a well built character.

I know he's my favorite character in the entire series, and he just get's screwed over at the end of every game he's in...

you know in KH 358/2 days all he wants is a heart of his own but instead he's forced to kill a close friend and than get's his ass kicked by Rikku, at which point he's brainwashed mind fucked for a bit and than forced to become part of Sora... like WTH? that isn't humane they take away his ability to choose for himself and his chance to become his own independent person... which is all he wanted...

OT: Rikku, I don't care how many times you redeem yourself, I'm not going to forgive you...

Obligatory mention of Tidus in FFX. All the others were fine for me, and a few (Auron and Yuna) were actually quite awesome. I could also say the same for Dragon Age Origins in that I found Sten to be rather stale among several quite awesome characters (Alistair).

yeah Sten could have used some more development like I dunno release a DLC focusing on Sten? come one Bioware he had the most interesting past in my opinion but we barely got to explore it... I want to go to his homeland...

I was going through another run of Mass Effect 2 today and while finishing the loyalty missions I realised that I couldn't be bothered to start Jack's mission and that I barely ever talk to her or take her on missions, the same can be said for my other playthroughs. Now I love every character in Mass Effect, everyone has a trait or even a flaw I find endearing but not Jack, she is whiney, boring and trying way too hard which may be the point but it's still annoying as hell.

As much as I love the supporting cast in games, I would have to agree. Jack sucks. I found her to be way too one-dimensional. blah blah blah cerberus this, testing facility that. then it turns out half of it was in her head, which made me hate her more. TBH, after I got the achievement I did my "carryover" story runs for renegade and paragon. needless to say, jack is the only one dead in both. As much as I love and respect BioWare and their amazing story and characters, I honestly dont care what they do with her character.

EDIT: I would also like to include every team based AI for a Halo ally. EVER. I hate them all with a burning passion.
