Most planes have the touch of magic about them, if only a bit. Even our own earth has enough magic that various hedge mages pop up from time to time. Most worlds require at least a bit of magic to make the world work as it should. Then there are the Barren planes, worlds with no magic whatsoever. These are some of the most grim plane in the multiverse, and those beings that call them home are sometimes twisted, sometimes evil, sometimes glorious, but always harsh and unyielding, as t heir home is harsh and unyielding.
However, few learned people in the multiverse would question that the most dangerous worlds of all are those positively suffused with magic. These worlds give rise to the beings who shape whole galaxies with their actions. Names such as Arsitachacos the Bloody and Volu the All-Seeing hail from planes suffused with magic. But these men and woman must fight against all odds to gain such power.
On a normal world, The Art must be meticulously studied for years before it can even be safely used to tie ones shoes, much less fling a ball of flame. On a normal world, The Art weeds those unfit to wield it out itself. However, on worlds suffused with magic, The Art is hardly an art at all. Beings of such worlds can instinctively wield the magic themselves with little to no training, with frightening results. While most would not be able to face a skilled archmagus from another world in a spell duel due to simple inexperience, the strength of their magic is incredible for their level of training.
It is not, however, the masses of such worlds that need be feared. While their power is considerable, it is still not comparable to a true magus. However, the magi of such worlds are powerful and frightening beyond all mortal comprehension. Known only as the Artists, these men and woman define magical might. Few equal their power, and they are the stuff that deities are made from. Fortunately, few mortals can stand the strain of so much magic flowing through their body, thus there are blessed few magi on such planes. Even more fortunately, such planes are exceedingly rare and tend to have very violent ends. As of the present age there is but one known plane that is suffused with Magic, Seuros.
Seuros is actually a fairly normal world by the standards of similar worlds. There are nations and kingdoms, with their rulers and armies of soldiers that fight much like any other soldier on any other world. They might strike harder or swifter as their natural magic helps them fight, but are nothing like the mage-knights some people envision who can duel a swordmaster with one hand while casually hurling flaming death from another.
What Seuros does have, however, is The Academy. The Academy of The Art and of the Elements (Colloquially just known as The Academy) exists to train magi, unsurprisingly. However, certain restrictions have been placed on the academy, as many of the wiser leaders know how much they should fear a fully trained magus. So upon entry, an apprentice is subjected to the Attuning, a ritual that divines the element the student is most compatible with, then blocks their ability to use any element but that one. Then each of the students is sent to learn in the school of their element.

Then each of the students is sent to learn in the school of their element.
Students that are attuned to Light learn to become Lumenomasters, those with power over light. Of all the elements, light has the most powerful connection to healing. However, Lumenomancers are not to be taken lightly as they are more then competent in combat, focusing light to distract and even sear their enemies, or even bend light to make themselves invisible to the eyes of their enemies.
Those who attune to Fire become Pyromasters, those who control fire. Unsurprisingly, Fire is the most destructive element of all, though it is also quite useful for uses other then war. The Magus who may one day hurl a ball of flame to incinerate his foes may nest use a ball of flame to easily demolish a building so another may be made it it's place. They also make surprisingly good battlefield healers, as their magic is even more adept at treating flesh wounds then Lumenomancers.
Earth attuned students become Geomasters, or masters of Earth. Users of earth are mostly the Shapers, the builders of most every major architectural undertaking in Seuros. Earth is by far the most common of the six elements, and it is frequently looked down upon by the other five, and earth magi can often look forward to being called a dirt shoveler. Despite that, though, they are quite possibly the most integral of all Magi to society continuing, so while they may be teased, they rarely encounter anything resembling aggression from other magi.
Water attuned students eventually become Hydromancers. Mostly responsible for handling weather, Hydromancers are quite possibly the least recognized of all the magi, along with Aeromasters, simply because as long as they do their job right, no one knows they're even doing a thing. They keep flood from destroying cities, the sky from dropping hail the size of a man's skull, and other such disasters. They also make surprisingly adept healers, as many of the abilities in that field coincide with that of the Lumenomasters.
Aeromancers are quite rare, and are formed of the students that are attuned to Air. Many of their duties coincide with that of Water magi in weather control. They are, however, also surprisingly adept War Magi when combined with magi of other elements. Many armies have found themselves decimated by flames or hail flung into their ranks at speed they hadn't imagined possible.
Finally, the most rare and generally despised of the magi mostly on simple principle are the Noctomasters. Surprisingly, however, the Magi of Darkness share more in common with Lumenomancers then any other element. While it is true that most of the worst evil magi have been Noctomasters, some of the best heroes and healers the world has ever seen have also been Noctomancers. Their mastery of the forces of death make Noctomancers surprisingly good at fending it off. Noctomancers control not only death but also darkness itself, easily calling shadows to hide themselves, and rare individuals can even travel between shadows. The only thing that seems to be in common with Noctomancers is that good or evil, they are people of great spirit and power. Very few Noctomancers ever don't make a name for themselves
Generally the six houses get along at least moderately well, though they have their tussles, like the recent tumult between the Geomasters and Aeromasters that leveled a few small cities and ruined the weather of most Seuros.
Unbeknownst to The Academy, a force beyond their reckoning will soon appear itself, and only their very most promising magi (and a few outsiders) will be their only hope.
Not last among these students is a man that the higher ups in The Academy have had their eyes on since his Attuning at age 6, where the unthinkable happened. Normally arcane energies enfold the apprentice and one of the six massive globes in the room with them lights up, indicating the element that student should study. When young Wanhope was attuned, however, both the globes of Light and Darkness lit. After weeks of deliberation, the leaders of The Academy decided to raise him in both schools, despite the opinion of a very vocal minority who immediately wanted to put the boy to death. Now, years later, they will finally see if their gamble paid off. Tomorrow is the first day Wanhope will be released into the Academy after fifteen years of being privately taught. The master Artists, the six leaders of The Academy, each wait with held breath, waiting to see how the students will react to Wanhope. Secretly, they're all afraid, for in between the powers of Light and Darkness they discovered the future in young Wanhope, who inherited the power to occasionally foresee in vivid detail the future and share it with everyone around him.
It was not a good picture that the Master Artists saw, and they know they may only have a few month before the mettle of their whole world may be tested, and The Academy will be in the epicenter of it all.

Simple, honestly. I don't care about cursing if it's in character. I couldn't care less what your characters do, as long as it doesn't deliberately ruin the story. You can have sex, but please don't describe it in detail. Killing other player characters is allowed with consent if a player desires a new character.
He most important rule, however, and one I will show little lenience in is that all posts must be at least six lines in length. They don't have to be full lines if the lines are dialogue. Empty lines do not count.

Name: (Hope this requires no explanation. There are countries similar to each country we know present in Seuros, so naming conventions are similar to ours)
Age: (Above twenty-one. Magi graduate at 21, and being a student will be a liability to you, but if requested with a good reason, I'll allow it)
Gender: (Both genders are equally represented in The Academy)
Mastery: (One only. Period. Only Wanhope has multiple. Format: Lumenomaster=light, Pyromaster=fire, Geomaster=earth, Hydromaster=water, Aeromaster=air, Noctomaster=darkness. To be a Noctomancer will require approval from me first, as they are extremely important character in the story)
Rank: (In order of power: Apprentice, Aethling, Magi, Magae, Weaver, Artist, Master Artist. Most will be Magi or Magae. You may control the Master Artists, but you must petition me for the position)
Appearance: (The Academy is located in the northern hemisphere, so light skin is most common, but all races are represented. Magi are permitted to alter their robes to their own design, but the primary color must still match their element: White for light, Red for Fire, Brown for Earth, Blue for water, Cream for Air, Black for Darkness. Magi and above wear masks in public of their own design. You can describe your wizards mask or draw it out for yourself. They are not worn in combat or in times of need.)
Demeanor: (Can be blank. Little tidbit we should know from the get-go, but over time we'll become acquainted to your character naturally, and defining them here can be difficult, I know.)
History: (Just a brief blurb. Most Magi have little memory of home, unless they were orphaned or some other dramatic occurrence. Life in The Academy is fairly dull, so this is mostly just to describe your upbringing [Noble-born mages will still tout superiority over peasant-born mages for example] and relationship to other player, if any)

Name: Wanhope Ceres
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Element: Lumenomaster/Noctomaster
Ranking: Weaver
Appearance: Wanhope has a slight frame, standing at a few inches beneath six feet, with little physical bulk. He is, however, very wiry and just because his slim figure belies his true strength. His raven-black hair is cropped rather short and is rarely ever tended, so it sticks up in whatever direction pleases it. His eyes are large and a deep penetrating blue. He frequently gives the illusion of seeing through the people he talks to, an illusion heightened by his habit of blinking very infrequently. His robes are black, with shite trim and a white sash tied around the waist. Were he not so somber (And his face always masked) he would be considered quite handsome, with his beautiful eyes and winning smile. His mask is a mix of black and white as seen here
History: Unbeknownst to any but those two, Wanhope is actually the illegitimate child of the current Master of Light and Master of Darkness, which explains his special treatment and likely also explains why he was not simply killed when he proved to be adept with both elements. After his attunement Wanhope was immediately spirited away and hidden in a secret branch of The Academy, where he saw nothing but his teachers, the most common of which were actually his parents. What they discovered but never told him was that their initial thesis was wrong. They had initially thought that a soul divided over two elements would be weaker for that dichotomy. They quickly fund they were wrong, as the two elements synergized in a way they hadn't thought possible and gave Wanhope access to much more powerful magic then they had envisioned, which is why he has already obtained the rank of Weaver when most mages his age were just joining the ranks of Magi.
Wanhope's greatest flaw, something that was a necessary consequence of his training is his relative unfamiliarity with the outside world. Before today, the only woman he's even ever seen was his own mother, and he knows next to nothing about the world at large. Since he's trusting by nature, that naivete is sure to get him into trouble quite quickly...

Demeanor: Over-all kinda cynical.
History: He was raised since he could remember by Aeromasters, but has always been somewhat of a loner. His isolation came from his unwillingness to interact with others, preferring to spend his time reading and writing. He had generally become somewhat of a bully magnet by the time he was 15, but one day when he was picked to demonstrate his skills, he put to use all of the studying he had done and ended up out-preforming the student at top of his class. Since then he has been known as kind of reclusive genius. Many young Aeromasters ask him for advice on technique or studying, despite him not actually being a teacher. He has made a few enemies among his fellow Aeromasters for his habit of only showing people respect once they have proved to him they deserve it, so essentially, half of the Aeromaster like him and the other half don't. He is a very polarizing person.

Name: Seth Darius
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Mastery: PyroMaster
Rank: Weaver
Appearance: a dark brown head of hair, normally unkept due to the hair normally behaving itself. Green eyes which can be piercing to stare. Normally wears darker pants and dark grey shirt, with a red robe usually billowing about him, with its dark blue inside lining. Seth is of an average build, not overly muscular, but then not overtly skinny. Seth's mask is a dark grey, actually only covering half of his face.
Demeanor: Grim and cryptic
History: Seth was a random find, being found in the less than noble streets, actually slamming his fist into someone who had attempted to cheat him. His time at the Academy, while usually dull and filled with Pyro training, was also filled with Seth practicing with his fists and any weapons he could get his hands on. Seth developed a drive that even though he might be beaten in magic, he could still win with a slam to the face. After becoming a Magae, Seth continued his path, and finally reached a Weaver status, where he has shown no more drive to become an Artist or Master. Rather, he sits back and gives his odd advice to any others who ask what Seth is about, or what they should do.

Name: Alexander Smith
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Mastery: Lumenomaster
Rank: Magi
Appearance: Alexander was not very interested in modifying his robes from their standard white color, only adding a couple of yellow metallic suns on the sleeves at the shoulder to make it especially obvious which class of mage he is. He is Caucasian with brown hair and green eyes hailing from a relatively small village in a nation neighboring the Academy. The mask he chose was a simple white affair that covers the entirety of his face with holes only for sight and breathing. He didn't want to decorate any of his clothing because he sees the time better spent studying or practicing.
Demeanor: As a follower of the healing arts, that which he has always promised himself he will never do is kill. Alexander instead prefers to disorient and subdue opponents or incapacitate. Even though he himself will not kill, he will not dislike others for killing with good reason.
History: He had been taken into the academy early in life, a consequence being he mostly knows his parents through letters. He has met them when he is off academy grounds, but often times he simply communicates through letters because of his studious nature.
The suns on his arms were a gift from his father, as he was a blacksmith, and are the only adornment to his robes and have been so since he had received them for the birthday after his attuning at the age of thirteen.
He has spent ten years in practice and hope to one day achieve the rank of master through study and practice given enough time. Alexander has made the suns on his shoulders his focus for his magic, and they will glow or burst with light depending on the power and intensity.

Mastery: Hydromancer
Rank: Magae
Appearance: Nevara stands 5'4", weighing 102lbs, she's got a very slender build, which doesn't really help her stand out, especially in the chest department. She is rarely seen without her robe, a deep blue number dabbled on the back with white spots in a scattered pattern, and she always has the hood of the robe pulled up over her head, covering up her medium length, eggshell white hair. Her eyes match her robe, they are the only thing that poke out of her image, which is almost always on.
Demeanor: Nevara is most comfortable in the background. She doesn't try to stand out in the crowd, and it's pretty easy for her to blend in, her mask is unremarkable for this reason. She doesn't try to make waves, she just goes day by day, as calmly and peacefully as she can.
History: Nevara was born to a peasant couple who lived near the shores, relying on the lake to make out an meagre living. It was a very simple life, and and her parents expected she would continue to follow in their path. However, one day when she was still a young girl, an wandering wizard from the Academy came to their little seaside villa and spotted Nevara, playing in the water, suspending water in the air. The scout immediately took Nevara for enrollment into the school.
The Attunement naturally placed her with the water classes, and she progressed through with above average marks, nothing stellar, but she proved competent. She slowly forgot about her parents except for the staff made from the stick they sent her, that her father carved from a piece of driftwood. When she graduated she was given a Magi rank but after a couple years she was promoted up to Magae. She's held at this rank since then, basically treading water at this time.

Name: Korick Lornick (Formally John Cooper)
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Mastery: Geomaster
Rank: Magi
Appearance: 5'11", very fit thanks to constant exercise. He has a heart shaped face, and a long narrow nose. His hair is naturally brown, but Korick has used several potions to dye his hair bright colors such as red, pink, orange, green, or several colors if the mood suits him. He wears a brown cloak, the inside is lined with a vibrant rainbow stripes of color, and under the cloak is a second robe made of bright green and yellow silks. His mask is a gaudy affair of gold leaf and gem-stones.
Demeanor: Korick is obsessed with being unique and standing out, this is fueled by the fact that he is a Geomaster, and would easily fall into the fold otherwise.
History: Korick was born a commoner, he grew up on a farm spending most of his time helping his mother with chores, it was a completely average life, and he was sick of it. His entire life he was fed stories about the mages and the amazing feats they performed. When he was seven he made up his mind and ran away to the Academy. On the road he dreamed of becoming an Aeromancer, one of the rare few with the ability to flew above the heads of everyone else. Once or twice he even entertained the idea of becoming the one of the rarest mages, a Noctomancer. So it was the greatest disappointment of his life when he was told he would be a dirt common Geomaster. This was such a crushing disappointment that he refused to believe it, the next day when he was supposed to report for Geomastery class, he went to the Aeromancers, and tried to fit in until he was quickly discovered and thrown back in with Geomasters, to shovel dirt, after being laughed at by everyone. From then on, he decided if he had to be a Geomaster, he would be the most anomalous Geomaster the Academy had ever seen. Since then he's gotten quite a reputation, he certainly managed to distinguish himself from the rest of the Geomasters, unfortunately now his name is mentioned primarily to end jokes.

Age: 23
Gender: Male
Mastery: Noctomaster
Rank: Magae
Physical Appearance: A relatively short man, standing at a mere 5'8, Caleb's height is rarely what gets him noticed in a crowd. What does set him apart from others is his almost deathly pallor, which is so pale that if one squints hard enough, they'll swear they can see his veins pulsing through the skin. In addition to his deathly skin color, he is very emaciated, weighing only 100 pounds. His hair is raven black and is often tied in a ponytail which reaches to his shoulders. His eyes are an odd color of brown which gives them a nearly maroon color in the right light.
Robes: Caleb's matte black robes have been modified to resemble something like a hooded duster with a small red logo of a jester hat on the right breast pocket area.
Mask: Caleb's mask is of a smiling visage, mirroring his personality:
Demeanor: Up front, Caleb behaves with a slightly disturbing, manic glee, but deep down, Caleb carries an extremely dark and twisted view of reality and life.
History: Caleb was found high in the mountains as a baby by a nomadic tribe wandering through the area. His attunement with magic was first noticed when he was four and a member of the tribe was brutally murdered after mocking young Caleb for having no real parents. Once this was realized the tribe unanimously agreed to send Caleb to the academy as soon as he reached the eligible age to enroll. In the two years since Caleb has graduated the Academy, he wanders Seuros looking for the parents that abandoned him, possibly to exact revenge upon them for depriving him of a normal childhood.

Mastery: AeroMaster
Rank: Magae.
Appearance: Pale, even by most standards. At 5'8, he's not that tall, and he's just a little bit chubby, at least compared to the average attendant at the academy. He has messy brown hair, almost never kept straight, a little, fuzzy mustache and beard, and blue eyes, which are half shut most of the time. He tends to slouch, making him seem shorter than he is.
Drew's cream robe look closer to a poncho, with a few dark blue streaks at the sleeves.
Demeanor: Self-serving, always looking to do the least work for the most results, but is more than happy to just do the bare minimum unless he really cares about the work.
History: His background wasn't really that spectacular, born to merchant and trader parents, keeping him in a well-provided childhood. He was enrolled to the academy after he and his sister were caught arcing lightning bolts between their fingertips. His sister had enrolled as well, and he spends most of his time with her. Drew was more content to just drift his way through with the least amount of work he could. He went on, just trying to keep his life simple. Nobody knows where he got the motivation to get up to Magea rank, but lightning has yet to strike twice, apparently...

Appearance: Fei has pale skin, which contrasts a lot with her jet black pigtails. She stands at an embarassing 4'10", and is always trying things to make herself seem taller.By some standards she's simply cute, her big blue eyes full of wonder and innocence. She does wear a mask sometimes for fun, when she remembers. Since she's only an Aethling she doesn't have an official one.
Her robe is light blue with dark waves on it.
Demeanor: Shy when it comes to strangers and older mages. Since she was accepted into the Academy when she was still young, she retains the 'normal' habits of a child, chasing after candy and dolls despite her age. She's fiercely loyal to her friends, but they need to be in a lot of danger for her to resist running for safety at the hint of danger.
History: Her parents doubted her powers, thinking that it was only her brother that summoned the lightning and perhaps let her play with it. They finally let her follow her brother to the academy after she begged them for months. Not thinking that she would pass the Attuning, they let her apply. Unfortunately, she had enough power to cause a globe to light up, much to their dismay. To her disappointment, it was the Hydro globe and not the Aero globe that lit. Fei studies and practices hard, hoping to make her teachers and family proud. She worships the ground Drew walks on, maybe to a fault.

Demeanor: Nydia is a bright and inquisitive person. She can be friendly when interacting with others, but often chooses to spend time by herself.
History: Nydia came from one of the lesser noble families so she has decent standing among other nobles, yet is not so stuck up as to look down on commoners. Her thirst for knowledge led her to be quite successful at the academy. Her hard work and studies have earned her incredible healing abilities, even by Lumenomaster's standards and her combat abilities are above average as well. his hair and the sides of his face concealed under the hood of his robes. The robes are heavily decorated, covered in arcane symbols in silver. The rest of the robe is a deep crimson, while the trim is gold.
Demeanor: Aden is cold, detached, and creepy, although as far as anyone can tell, he has the Academy's interests at heart.
History: Aden does not recall his past prior to the Academy, not that there is a great deal -to- recall, having been handed to the Academy before the age of two. His family, House Ignaeus, has bred a series of Pyromancers going back for decades, and Aden was the next one who proved apt.
In his studies, Aden proved exceptional in his skill, but also far more detached than his fellow students. After creating his mask, Aden has -never- been seen to remove it in public. He eats with it on, sleeps with it on, and even fights with it on.
Since his graduation fourteen years ago, Aden has proven himself a valuable and skilled Pyromancer, and is believed by some to be a notable candidate for the next Master Pyromancer.

Age: 23
Gender: Male
Mastery: Hydromastery
Rank: Magae
Appearance: Heavier in build than many of his peers, Gareth would be most aptly described as "broad". His shoulder span is a good deal wider than average; a trait which, when combined his bulky torso and tree-trunk legs, make him look more suited to physical toil than the mental rigors that magi must endure. He stands at just over six feet, the top of his head adorned with a dark mop of curls that, when free, hang around his shoulders, though normally he wears them tied back somewhat haphazardly behind his head. He is of a bronze complexion and a very intense expression, with eyes of a colour that is closer to that of chocolate than anything else. His robes are actually made up of two layers, though the main robe is navy blue in colour, his sleeves, belt-sash, and leggings are all lighter blue. His mask is simple, little more than a blue-tinged metallic fitting for his face with wide-enough slits for the eyes, nostrils, and mouth; fixed with a permanently neutral expression and fastened to his head by the means of several straps and buckles.
Demeanor: Gareth has always felt like a bit of an outsider amongst the other Magi at the academy. He has his share of friends, but has never really embraced his role as a Hydromaster, mostly because he was plagued with difficulties throughout his apprenticeship. Chief among these difficulties was his lack of control over his substantial power, which led to him moving through the ranks slower than most. Through careful meditation and extra-curricular tutelage he's managed to reach a higher level of focus, but using his abilities on a large scale is still trying for him. When he loses control it can prove disastrous, however composed and level-headed he may appear outwardly.
History: Growing up in the Academy, Gareth was often teased, called "accident-prone" for his shoddy command of the forces of magic, and as a result he felt shunned by most of the other students of Water. It was only through the intervention of one highly-regarded Artist-rank Watermaster by the name of Dumar that he was able to graduate, as the more experienced man went out of his way to tutor the young boy, and vouches constantly to the other Artists of Water (as well as the Master Artist) for Gareth, claiming that the boy has tremendous potential.

Rank: Magi
Appearance: Carissa has dull black hair and sad green eyes, she is smaller then most people her age at 4'9" and is notably underweight. She wears a unpersonalized mundane red robe which seems to be losing it's color in parts, it also has patches in several places and a red cape that hangs from the back with her family's crest on (A golden shield with white wings).
Demeanor: Carissa has a very pessimistic view of herself. Her constant failures have led her to believe she is the worst student to ever graduate from the academy and thus she looks up to most others who attended, thinking that she is worth little compared to them. When she is driven, she can be very persistent but this doesn't tend to happen often anymore.
History: Carissa is the daughter of two talented and noble artists and was expected to follow in their footsteps and become great. She didn't, in fact she has a reputation of being absolutely terrible with everything she tries. No matter how hard she tried, which was in fact incredibly hard, she could only do the simplest of spells. She was often mocked by other students and even teachers, but she continued trying and trying only to fail time and time again, her persistence slowly diminishing.
She barely graduated as the worst student in her year, her persistence and resolve totally drained leaving her sad and alone. People laughed at her, people avoided her, she was left alone in a world that didn't want her. She didn't resent the others though, she didn't blame them, who would want to associate themselves with someone with as little talent or skill as her? No, she looked up to them all, resentment towards herself growing day by day.
Nothing happened in the years after, she spent her time as an errant girl for all the other Magi doing odd jobs. She became a sort of cautionary tale for those still in the Academy. "Try hard or you'll end like Carissa Krayn, worst Magi to ever graduate." Teachers told their students, under the false interpretation that Carissa had been lazy in the Academy. This soon made her (in)famous across all the Academy, much to her dismay.

Appearence: His dirty blonde hair fit little with his tanned skin from the hours of labor he used to do in the farms he had to work in. He stands at 6'4, is 195 pounds and is muscularly built due to the manual labor he had to endure. His light blue eyes used to draw attention from the brown robes that he now adorns although his mask does little to contain the colors in his eyes and the dark scar above his right eye. His dark brown robes cover a simple white cotton shirt and black pants with intricate sewings at both the pants leg. There is a handsome charm to Cale's face but he seldom shows it to anybody because of his rather saddening demeanor.
Demeanor: Cale always had been a hard worker. Whether it be on the fields or in the libraries of the Academy. He showed up on time and always focused on getting the task done no matter how difficult or daunting it may be. He has a sense of humor that most like but other than that he thinks less of himself at all times. His self-consciousness has led him to believe that he is in fact ugly and is frankly insulted every time someone comments him on his looks which the reason why he seldom removes his mask.
History: Cale wasn't a very intelligent man but is knowledgeable enough to know that his powers could lead him to a better life from working day after day in the dirt farms for some wealthy nobleman. He does not know of his biological family and when his foster family heard of Cale's ambitions of going to the Academy they saved up an entire decade's pay just so he could pay for the entrance fee. He enjoyed his time in the Academy and cherished every bit of it as he learned and earned his way up the ranks. Although the Attuning flat out frightened him, his grasp of his powers grew over time turning him into a very noticeable Geomaster.

Appearance: Nat keeps her hair up in a messy pony tail as her bangs lay off to the side of her mask [http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs44/i/2009/148/2/2/Kuroinu___Japanese_Wolf_Mask_by_merimask.jpg], a few strands hanging off the side behind her ears. Her eyes are an oddity; part of her eye that is closest to her iris is a deep blue while the outer is emerald green. Her face is somewhat fair but her beauty never really mattered to her, all that mattered was her mind and her powers. Beauty fades with age while the mind develops further.
She stands about 5' 8" and it fairly thin, her hands are a smaller than normal women her height. Her arms are a bit disproportioned compared to the rest of her body due to the length. Her skin is pale with little color outside of her face but not to the point of looking like a ghost.
Her robes are black with a gold design on throughout the material, her sash is a silver color with gold weaved through out the fabric, her hands peak just past the sleeves of the robes. The only other bit of skin that is visible is as the base of her neck, which is adorned with a necklace made of silver with a jade pendant, given to her only by her friend Nina before she left for the Academy. She uses as a focus for her magic which is much less bulky then a staff.
Demeanor: Nat keeps to herself mostly using her time to study. She enjoys spending time just watching out the window as she reads or draws. When she does interact with others she's kind but a bit stand offish. She has a harsh side to her when she's being interrupted or insulted and when she is angered she reacts ruthlessly. Her harsh manner is a sign of other deeper issues caused by her mother being cold and harsh to her due to how much she looked like her father, the same father that left her mother while she was pregnant. She refused to show how the event effected her but deep down it torments her and twists her creating the darker side she has, the side that has no issue with taking a life or hurting another.
History: Nat was born as an only child living with just her mother, her father had left before Nat was born. As she grew her mother became abusive, going as far as forbidding her to leave the house or even letting her own anything past the clothes on her back; all due to the fact that she had her father's eyes.
For years she had to withstand her mother's verbal and emotional abuse, however, it became worse when Nat discovered she had dark based powers. When she was 8 she met a girl named Nina after she fell outside crying her eyes out while her mother, who earlier that morning forced Nat to say horrible things about herself, was out shopping. Nina was more than willing to help Nat make feel and try to dry her tears until her mother came back home chasing Nina off. From that day on Nat and Nina were close to the point where Nat would sneak away at night to see Nina.
When Nat was 10 she made a plan to murder her mother as revenge for the abuse and run away to the Academy. The night before Nat was going to commit the act Nina gave her a silver necklace and wished her luck, unaware of the dark intentions for her mother. Nat slid into her mother's room while she was asleep. She forced her awake holding a knife above her mother a twisted smile on her face. Nat spoke only a few words to her mother before she made her suffer the same way Nat had suffered growing up. By the time she was done, all that was left was a bloody mess with piles of flesh and pools of blood.
Nat found her way to the Academy when she ran into a wandering Lumenomaster. After she arrived she studied to better understand her powers. She used her hate for her mother and her bitter rage as a driving force to study proving that she is worth some acclamation and not worth the abuse she received as a child creating the darker side of Nat. Due to her hard work she progressed passed most of the other mages of her age. She refused to use her powers as a reason to be lax with her work and studies pushing past some of what was expected of her.
One day, she was in her room reading, when she was approached by Jorvin Delkastes who informed her she would be an apprentice to a powerful Weaver; the identity of said Weaver was kept a secret. Thrilled at the chance to develop her powers even further under the wing of an Weaver, Nat spent most of her time studying the art of dark magic and the other forms to better understand how each of them come together and work within each other.

Name: Bjorn Jassid
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Mastery: Geomancer
Rank: Magae
Appearance: Average height and weight. He has dark, crew cut hair, brown eyes, dark skin, and is somewhat muscular from constant training. A few small scars cover his limbs.
His robes are solid tan on the outside, and a much darker brown on the inside. It is lined with silver. His mask is also silver, with a streak of brown on either side. Underneath his long robe is a plain white shirt, and forest green pants.
Demeanor: Bjorn keeps to himself, but is a very diligent student. He only has a few close friends, but is willing to strike up a conversation with anyone who he deems "worthy". Bjorn is often considered angry by others, when in truth he simply takes magical studies very seriously. He resents anyone who brags about their talents or lacks discipline, and holds a grudge against the gifted students.
History: Bjorn grew up a peasant, a nobody. His parents both had magic but neither were particularly strong geomancers. Those who used geo magic were occassionally teased, but Bjorn's low status, combined with a hereditary lack of skill in magic, made him a target of ridicule up until graduation. To compensate for his lack of natural ability, Bjorn trained and studied intensely in almost all of his spare time, shutting himself off from those who would mock him. Through this, he was able to learn the all the ins and outs of his geo magic. It was all that had gotten him to his current rank. When the Attuning stripped him of all the other elements, he was happy to have control of earth, as he had spent many of his pre-academy days watching his parents control thet element, trying to learn what he could from them.
But while he is highly skilled from a technical standpoint, his lack of natural power has held him back his whole life. Bjorn had just barely achieved the rank of Magae, and doubts he will ever reach any higher. Yet he continues his studies and training, hoping to one day completely master geomancy, and somehow surpass his limitations.

Name: Enchenda Maclinia
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Mastery: Lumenomancer
Rank: Magi
Appearence: Head- silver shoulder length hair, light blue eyes, slightly smaller than average nose, and average ears. Body- 5'2, Pale skin, slightly smaller than average frame though not completely mucsleless though due to carrying many books around the library and walking around when she needs to think.
Mask: since i can't find the original picture i'll just decribe it. White mask, fully covering her face, with no real features except eye hols and a soft smile.
Robes: simple white robes that go down to the middle of her lower leg but with the addition of a hood, to conceal her in a usually failing attempt to not draw attention to herself.
Demeanor: Enchenda is a very kind and forgiving person, not holding a grudge against someone unless they do something increadibly cruel and/or hostile. She also has a tendacy to shy away from people due to her brothers filling her head with how people can be unnessessarily hateful and violent hence why she wears her plain white and creepy mask in an attempt to ward them away.
History: Enchenda didn't have the most interesting upbringing but to say that nothing happened would be a lie. She didn't have a very good relationship with her mother to be honest. In fact, her mother hates her for ruining her figure during childbirth. Her father and brothers looked out for her every chance they got, helping her but at the same time filling her small head with warnings.
Besides that nothing really special. she spent most of her time while not studying in the library reading stories or walking around the academy, not conversing with anyone but her family and a few close friends.
