It's because it's made by the Japanese, and they always over exagerrate(I know it's wrong) about body physique and stuff. As for the game, I think it's great, I'm on 6-3 and it's taken me 13 hours of searching for stuff and being eaten by those damn crocodiles.

I like the idea of dodging bullets, but it was more like Wesker could teleport than move super fast. That kinda threw me because RE never really had "magic" powers, if you know what I'm getting at. Everything was just super strength or crazy mutations. Though Wesker did mutate later on into am much slower version...
I'll save my judgment of the series for RE6. I've only played 4, 5 and Umbrella Chronicles anyway.

Sorry, thought we were talking about Wesker at first. I guess I'll say, why does Wesker wear sunglasses in the dark?
One thing I like about Chris though, he has a magic shotgun that only needs two shells to fill it to capacity.

When I was in the Army I knew quite a few guys built like Chris. It appears all it takes to achieve such a level of physique is hundreds of dollars of fitness "suplements" and spending 20+ hours in a gym each week. So, I don't find it all that ridiculous - it's just that most gamers are so far from "in shape" (and we tend to surround ourselves with like minded individuals) that seeing an intensely muscular person seems incredibly alien.

Besides, if YOU were chris and you had to spend your entire life running from and/or fighting zombies and monsters, wouldn't YOU spend your down time lifting weights? Never know when you have to throw a car at someone now do you?

Wesker wears sunglasses all the time because he needs to rip off the Matrix as much as possible.

Hey, Wesker... The Matrix called, they want you back.
SRSLY!

His almost blindingly shiny pants were not very avoidable either. when his big introduction came and the camera lingered around his pants as if they were a fashion statement I could have sworn he was about to challenge chris to a disco dance off

Look, Capcom. I know the story of the series is crazy. Everyone does. That doesn't mean that you can screw with it without anyone noticing.

Did anyone even try to take RE 5 seriously the moment they found out who Irving was?

He was almost as annoying as Salazar. He would have been more worse if he was in the game longer.

So when did they lose you with the realism? Was it the ZOMBIES?

I think he looks fine for a friggin special forces/army agent, which is what he's supposed to be...

You'd think he would be a little more intelligent for a special forces agent.

I actually said "What the fuck teleportation?" when I saw that. It made absolutely no sense to me.

Is it just me or did the series officially get ridiculous here?

Not to mention the Neo-Wesker who we might have to fight plenty of in future installments Huge Weaving style.
Chris's gorilla arms were the first tip off that RE 5 would be a huge disappointment.
