Hey!

I'm not sure if this is in the spirit of the thread but I have a request.

Can someone draw my Dungeons and Dragons character named Lydian Ols? He is a level 7 wizard who specs in Divination.

He is s 17 years old human and is tall and skinny. Black hair, brown eyes fair skin. He has a burn scar on his right forearm (because of a botched fireball). He wears robes and carries around a spell book and a diary.

I'm not fussed if no one does it so don't worry too much but having an awesome drawing would indeed make me the envy of the table. Thanks guys!
I tried drawing Lydian last night, and found I couldn't do it. I need more details. How long is his hair? Is it straight or curly or in between? What shape is his chin? His nose? What expression is he usually wearing?

I could just make all that up on the spot, but I don't think it would look anything like what you think he looks like.
He has straight hair in a small, neat pony tail. He doesn't have a lot of muscle so I guess you could call his frame weak, tall and skinny pretty much. His expression is ..I guess you would call it 'smug.' He thinks himself above non magic users, typical wizard..

I don't have a lot in mind for what he looks like (apart from eye colour and hight and stuff) so go nuts with interpretation. Thanks for taking an interest in it friends!

I've got more D&D characters if anyone else wants to draw stuff?

Thanks again!

Hahahaha. You should do a short film of that. It'd be utterly hilarious.

The funny thing is, I show this picture to my mates at college, they'll suggest the same thing, and then we'll likely do it... Being Media students and all.

I eagerly await the result.

Walk with me
In the shadow of the stars

Dance with me
In the fabric of the night

Let the forest be our promenade
Let the moonbeams shine on us
Let the stars dazzle us with their cold delightful sparkle

Pirouetting through a moonlit glade
Twisting and twirling
A flurry of motion in the soft night air
Feel the gossamer caress of twilight, my dear
Let the ecstasy of the starlight fill your heart
Dance with me in the shadow of the stars
Forget the world and its troubles
Dance with me
If just for tonight
Dance like this moment will last forever

A kiss, my love before you depart
And as you step away into the graceful night
You turn back to me and on the wind I hear you whisper
I love you

Oh how tender is the night tonight
The breeze seems to whisper, go to her
And so I oblige
Once last dance before sunrise

I do remember it after a few seconds of thinking. It leaves me breathless and my jaw in a dangling fashion. This is one of the best pieces of art I have ever seen. I can't express how much I look forward to seeing your style develop.

As for me, I was never able to draw. I used to be an artist of words, but most of my works have been lost in time. So I shall just leave that comment there and skulk back to the shadows, watching this thread.

Wow, I didn't know this forum was still going on.

In that case here's another poem I wrote (the other is on page 4)

The Scarecrow

Oh Scarecrow, Scarecrow! You false prophet,
Crucified at harvest moon each year
You saw earth?s bounty turned to profit
A terrible truth must lie within

The scarecrow stiffens; it won?t last long
The threshold is met, the time has set
Thus he sang his thistle throated song

?My brave brother you must beware
You know not the profound power
Which permeates within the air

What does the drunken sword devour
Under the beast?s eternal stare?
It dwells in the watchman?s tower
Beguiled by a selfish prayer

Beneath my feet; see this flower
It has died for a lack of care
Look how it wilts with each hour
Wasting away, still unaware?

The scarecrow trembles and grows silent
But a wind weaves through his weakened frame
He starts laughing; a laugh so violent
It shakes the shafts that kept him lame

?See that locust atop this post
He gathers up these worthless grains
And feeds upon its withered host
To scatter round what still remains!

The one who was once honored most
Had grown neurotic from his pains
They left him to wander about the coast
Defenseless against the tempest rains

Come down and sit here on the dust
It envelops all in our domain
Do not turn away and feign disgust
Here lies the sacred and profane

Our energy is eternal
It can no longer be withheld
A movement of the internal
Breaks away to be expelled

Useful details and stuff
Behold! I give you Lydian Ols, master diviner.

How's it look?
Oohh my god thats awesome!

This is perfect, I'm going to print this out and staple it to my Character sheet.

I love it because, at the same time as being 'Wizardy' he is still just a kid. Awesome, simply awesome.

Thank you so much =D

Glad you like it.

Be careful about printing it, though--it's in RGB color, since I was making it to post here, and some of the colors might not translate well if you're using a CYMK printer.

Ohh thanks for that =D

If anyone wants to draw another D&D Character of mine (I feel kinda scungy for asking >< buut..) I also play a level one Human barberian, Velt Vernen. He has a large wooden sheild and weilds a fairly large one handed axe. He is dressed in loose brown and green clothes covering a home made chain shirt. Velt is a young human who left his barberian tribe mainly because of wanderlust, he is allways willing to prove himself, never running away from a fight.

Once again I am not fussed if no one takes it up, it will just be nice to have a rad picture at the table. Please don't stress too much about detail and don't worry that you might draw somthing I don't like, as we found out with Mr. Zemalac.

Thanks in advance, your friend and mine

By the way, this is my own work and copyrighted too, so don't get any ideas.

There's some awkwardness with the perspective on the far wing you could work on and you may want to adjust your shading to allow for more contrast with the background.

You should try working larger. Starting with like 3'x 3' and working to 5' or 6'. I'm also an abstract painter and I've found that it works much better to have a large surface to work with, it gives you both space to breath and the size to overwhelm the viewer with your concept.

This is probably the best drawing I've ever done. She really liked it too.
