Good read, but not as good the second time through (the first time, I was in the Muskokas, drinking a Canadian microbrew, and on a beach near the woods, can't get much more Canadian then that). I like his more serious stuff, truth be told. Hey Nostradamus!, Girlfriend in a Coma, that sort of stuff. His comedic writing tends to become less relevant as the times about which he is writing passes, but that could be a hindsight thing. Good writer though.Matt_LRR said:

But actually this, or maybe Sword of truth, or maybe Sarah Douglas's axis trilogy.
I'm sure it would've been different but at the same time I'm satisfied with how he wrote it.

Edit: For the folk talking about this series, yes, it is a shame that Jordan died, but I still feel that the book was damn good. The ending in particular when:
Rand seems to finally be him again, after cleansing himself of his insanities.
The best book I own is The Man In The High Castle by Philip K Dick. I believe in the Library though, and they should continue to be supported and supplied with printed materials (in case some apocalypse happens and books return as our primary source of education).
