Captain forever is pretty cool, imagine a 2d shoot em up, where when you kill a ship, you can get its parts.

Well, I'm not sure the game is good but it's definitely a great experience to play at 4 in the morning with the lights off. To this day I keep finding bizarre rooms that I didn't know were there.

I've got it working on Windows 7, so it's quite good compatibility-wise. It features a number of fan-made campaigns although honestly they are quite variable in quality. But it's a good reason to check out an old classic again.

Because giving money to an independent developer is evil?
