Jak and Daxter it seemed like a bad rip-off of mario64, when I was expecting something like sly cooper or rachet and clank

Assassins Creed 2 - I didn't find any game play flaws from the 5 hours i put in, but when I looked at the clock and realized I hadn't gone anywhere storyline wise in the past 3 hours, i found it to be pretty boring. I don't know, it just wasn't for me.

Mass Effect - I hated the fighting. I never even got a chance to get into the game because the first few fights after the opening fights, when they were serious and not training, I just found them horrible. I guess it was just really off from what I expected and I probably didn't give it too much of a chance, but I'm ok with that.

We seem to get a lot of these threads.
Anyway.... I'll say Bioshock. Every time I try to play, it just leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. I honestly cannot find a kind thing to say about it.

Oh look, another incarnation of this thread. Bring on the Halo and Final fantasy hate...

OT: Half-Life. I just don't get it. The story is good (NOT great) but the actual combat just isn't fun.

EDIT- Shit, forgot Legend of Zelda. Really seems like you played one you played them all, too me. Or maybe I just don't like silent protagonists? That actually probably does have something to do with it.

*deep breath*

Oblivion.

Go suck it.

There.
I've said it.

Too big, long, bewildering... and sort of meandering. Freedom is one thing, wandering around aimlessly and, my favourite part, the sheer amount of GRINDING!!!

Oh God... And the characters... all look... so bad. The voice acting is, with the exception of Patrick Stewart's sublime performance, woeful!!

Don't get me started on the series of flailing clusterfucks that is the comabt >_<

Ok, I'm done. I feel much better now, thanks.
Feel free to disagree, I disagree with a lot of the posts here, but in fairness, we're all different with different preferences.

Baldur's Gate 1 and 2. I know...I know, they're some of gamings greatest rpg classics but I just fucking loathe the infinity engine. I always felt like I was fighting the engine and not the enemies. It completely killed the experience of every game built on it except Planescape which was the soul game strong enough on it's own merit.

I don't really like Orcarina of Time. I know it essentially means that my rights to game is taken away but hear me out. I understand that its a stellar game that redesigned the entire landscape of gaming and that its the closest that the series of Legend of Zelda has gotten to cinematic storytelling but really it just doesn't do it for me. Furthermore, as a fan of games like Link's Awakening and Minish Cap, my opinion suddenly doesn't matter because OoT isn't my favorite.
Amen. I just don't like 3D zelda. Sue me people. I got to the last dungeon in OoT and just "meh, I'm done." I had zero drive to play it. Mind you, I could play Link to the Past every day for the rest of my life and enjoy it.

Portal has universal acclaim but it has gone down in history as the most un-fun game I've ever played.

Gears of War: It's dumb easy stupid and uninteresting.

Halo: The premise was like all others and wasn't a really good shooter. I still prefer Tactical Ops over that one.

Resident Evil 4&5: With the new "virus" came new ability. I was fired up to see intelligent zombies but it turn it into a gears of war before GOW. Couldn't they do like John Romero and said that those zombie, while faster, keep basic memories? They just Spaniards.

Gran Thief Auto Series: Can anybody tell me what joy your supposed to have when you blow up a car? Or kill a npc? Also, Why do they all follow orders? I mean come on. Nico Belik came to America to start anew. Why is he ready to do everything all over again just when ask nicely?

Uncharted 2: If i have to choose between a old professor that hid himself into a fridge to escape a nuclear explosion or the treasure hunter that sleep in the coldness of the Himalayan mountain in a shirt and with a bullet wound on his chest. I'll go with the prof. He's far more believable.
A Shark:" I'm F'in tired of being jumped."

Devil May Cry 4: I love the first, second and third. I don't mind they pass Virgil torch to the kid. I didn't mind Dante crying at the end of the first one. But the thing i couldn't let go is a another cult trying to End the world. Couldn't they bring something new? Someone showed me the anime they did before DMC4, and it was great and they did play on the moral side of thing. In a episode, Dante save a girl from her father. Father that tried to summon a demon to kill a escaped demon from hell that her daughter love. In the end, Dante can't bring himself to kill the escaped demon but had no problem slaying the father. That's interesting.

Fallout 3: I don't care for the storyline. I don't care for Amanda or anyone for that matter and If i want to go and explore. I would shut down my PS3 and put my running shoes.
