Due to all the games out there in the world that "The Escapist" like to review, i think its time to review some games that arent out there on the market, no, im not speaking of unreleased games, im speaking of all the beginning programmers on the internet who have been using flash, and/or C++ to create brilliant games for the masses, usually for free.

Post some of the internet games you think should be released to the masses, if possible, post a link, and why?

Bear in mind, i do not count MMORPG's as internet games.

First time poster here, but before I go off listing the games I think would be worth it, are you talking about flash games in particular (games you'd find on addicting games or UGO) Or games in the line of the Chzo Mythos, Ben Jordan Paranormal Investigator? Stuff you can download off the internet, basically. Or are you looking for either or?

im saying, list which games on the internet which you believe should be released in mainstream gaming, flash, java, downloadable .exe's, anything that is free on the internet.

Ahar. Well then, let's get to listing, shall we?

I'd most certainly purchase the Chzo Mythos if it were released for some system, or computer, given that Yahtzee was allowed a wonderfully large sum of cash to oversee a remake of the entire series and, possibly, expanding on it in full. Then again, that doesn't mean I wouldn't buy the Chzo Mythos as is. www.fullyramblomatic.com

Another game that seems to destroy my sense of time is a game by the name of Onslaught 2. http://onslaught.playr.co.uk/ the game takes a neat look into the world of defense games and, for the most part, will probably eradicate any sense of the day you were looking forward to.

Kings Quest 1 and 2 remakes by AGDInteractive will certainly bring you back to the world of when you used to spend hours on those games, as well. (If the nostalgia doesn't hit you, thank you for making me feel old.) www.agdinteractive.com

Just a few games that I find more than time-munching, but in that good way that makes you want to do it again...kind of like going down the slide, falling in a large puddle, grumbling about it, then doing it again to see if you can get the rest of you soaked.

Kafkamêsto [http://www.abc.net.au/gameon/kafkamesto/]. Greatest. Flash. Game. Ever (warning: this game can seriously damage your perception of reality. Not for the easily weirded out).

Then there's Chasm [http://www.abc.net.au/gameon/chasm/default.htm], a slightly more conventional game (don't worry) which was made for the same game festival and went on to win all kinds of awards.

There's all sorts of neat flash games, like the works of Alessandro Cima and his ilk [http://candlelightstories.com/], and a few more I can think of but can't name.

Hapland [http://kakbarnf.deviantart.com/art/Hapland-14864502] (There are also Hapland 2 and 3)

flashportal.com has a flash version of "Portal" (yes portal, think orange box)

You'll be playing it for a good chunk of time.
Plus, the creator may make a level designer some time later.

all of these are fine examples of true gaming genius, even if one or two were based on other games, they still usually did something innovatively brilliant, BRING MORE, so that we may enjoy the internet itself further!

How exactly do you plan to "bring these games to the masses"?
Probably released in a similar way to Alien Hominid, in other words it's given more depth and released on a console or at least as a buyable game.

In which case my favourite internet game today remains Madness Interactive. Based on the flash series 'Madness Combat' the game serves as not only a violent yet totally pointless gun game but also as a blood soaked stress reliever, something which is rare considering most shooters these days try their best to get you blood racing so if your a casual gamer you'll have a heart attack before you reach your first boss, it also has a cutey gorey charm similar to Alien Hominid and is all around good fun:

Man, I can just picture Kafkamêsto remade for the PS3. Not so much the graphics, but they could make the game itself so much bigger.

Detective Grimoire [http://www.armorgames.com/games/detectivegrimoire.html] would make a nice DS game as well.
