I'm not sure if someone mentioned this already, but Groot doesn't just say "I am Groot" the language of his people is an inflection based language and everything that he says just sounds like "I am Groot" which is why everyone calls him Groot. Rocket Racoon for reasons that I don't know is able to understand him in a sort of Han Solo-Chewbacca thing. Oh and he's also a prince on his world.

I think a Nova movie, or a movie with Nova in it (like say a movie based on Annihilation) would depend on how successful GotG ends up being. Personally I hope it does well as I'd love to see some more of the cosmic Marvel characters. It was always a bit more fun in its Space Opera goodness/weirdness than the Earth based Marvel setting. I'd love to see a GotG sequel with Lovebug in it, as I think he would fit really well into the feel, at least according to the trailer, of this upcoming movie. I kind of wish he was in this movie, but Marvel probably hit its strange obscure anthropomorphic character limit with Rocket and Groot.Fappy said:

It'll take a little more than turning a tired cliche into an anthropomorphic talking squirrel to convince me that the movie is worth paying to see. I think what I'm trying to say is I was hoping for a strange new animal, akin but different from The Fifth Element. Once you get over the fact that guy is a tree and that guy is a talking squirrel, it just feels kinda like bad generic science fiction.

Secondly I think the game MvC3 introduced a lot of people to Rocket Rackoon and Nova for the firs time and got them interested in those characters.
RR looks pretty damn well done, judging by the railer. I think I mainly want to watch this movie for him.

Well, each phase seems to have an outlandish movie in its set. Phase One had Thor, which was out there in comparison to the other movies in that lineup. Thor 2 was much more down to earth by comparison since most people going had an idea who Thor was. I wonder if for Phase Three the out there movie will be of Doctor Strange or of something else.Adam Jensen said:

The only reason I understood any of what Bob said is because I've been watching his videos doggedly ever since The Avengers. That Bob himself doesn't know half of this stuff makes me worried about how I'm going to comprehend it.
My biggest concern is that they've made this with an attitude of a movie supposed to set up a ton of other movies, rather than a good movie in its own right. It's not that you can't do both, but in this trailer alone there are dozens of relevant links that can (and very well might) spawn an equal number of movies. Granted, a lot of that hinges on the characters themselves rather than anything that actually happens (and calling these characters cliches would be a bit silly considering how long they've been around), but it's still my main worry that they've spent too much focus on setting up their other movies and not enough on making this one good. Because if this one doesn't do good, the chances any of the following movies will do good take a dive.
I'm hopeful for the movie, and judging from the buzz it'll probably do well for itself. Whether that's well enough will be hard to tell until we see the box office results and the following chatter. As long as it finds a way to make itself interesting and engaging, I'm confident it'll do fine.

Definitely like this format for trailer examination more than the text articles. I realize you can go into more detail without the time restriction, but it was really irritating to be bouncing back and forth between a trailer video and the trailer article.
PLEASE do these from now on for trailer reviews, instead of 'Intermission', obviously so much easier to follow when we are not pausing it ourselves.
