This Short-flim is about mr. Roberts, who while driving to work suddently finds himself in a white room with another man sitting at a desk. The man at the desk gives him an offer: Press the Black Button in between them and kill another human, but get $10,000,000 for it, or take the key to the exit and leave the room without the money.

What choice would you make? Answer and comment.

I knew what was going on the moment he said 1644-errr 1645, I knew he was a person of significance.

now aside from the fact that unless the man in black has gotten his hands on an incredible amount of $1000 bills there is no way that the suitcase could hold $10000000. However given the choice, I would take the suitcase before hitting the button, he would assume that I was going to then hit the button but instead kill him with the obviously metal case and then leave.

Well, honestly, I would have been screwed. I'd have pressed the button when given the chance.

If, however, the man had made some sort of comment that pointed him out as some sort of divine being or some-such, I'd have taken the key. But if the deity in question were omnipotent, I'd have still been sent to Hell, because it'd know that I only did it because I knew what the other choice was.

I would have taken the key... It's a notion that broke through my skull a long time ago that when you kill a person you don't just end his life, you damage the lives of everyone around him and you more or less damage your own. That's the only reason why I would never kill a person intentionally, religion makes you believe that killing someone only affects you and you alone. I think fate keeps a very neat and tight web over everyone's life and tampering with it will only piss it off...

if its a random person, could be several yards, miles, half a world away, and i'm in purgatory-like envoirment it would more than likely be a test of morality, something beyond common sense. and knowing that, i would not push that button

At the risk of screwing everyone that surrounds the person over, I'd just take the key. Now, if I were to choose the victim, Felix would be screwed.

Never. I hold everyone's life above my own. I would go to hell before killing someone for my own gain.

That much money is tempting, but how much would it suck if the button ended up killing someone you know? "F****** hell kill me now" if it ends up killing your dearly beloved, am I right?

I called the ending.
Well, I thought he'd kill the guy who would then crash into his car, but...

I'd push it. Yea, I'd fell guilty, but then I'd use half of it to save 5 other people's lives, so...

Optimus Prime said:
This has made me think. What about soldiers? Technically, they kill for money. Even though I want to be an airforce pilot it's made me think. Well I suppose you could justify fighting for your country. But what about mercenaries? Are they morally wrong? They're only fighting those who would kill them?
I'm going into the navy and I justified it thusly-
I'm killing people who want to hurt other people. The people I will kill have done bad things and will do more if given the chance.

Has anyone taken into consideration that 10 Million could save more that one life? It's an interesting choice, taken in that light. Save many who would have died, but condemn one who wouldn't. Somewhat like the "One man on a train track" question someone posted earlier.

Your argument dosn't hold up very well. You're killing people who want to hurt other people. But so are they!
