Borderlands 2 comes out in less than two weeks so while you wait go give the skill tree builder a whirl. You can find it here [http://www.borderlands2.com/us/#characters]. Also, feel free to post a pic of your proposed build when you're done.
...??? These characters are so much more overpowered than the last ones. Like the Zer0 build I posted. Yay for sprinting around at +80% run speed, teleporting around on top of that, and dealing 800+% damage. While staying invisible.piinyouri said:I was surprised to see that you cant make your characters as over powered as last time.
Seems like you actually need to be careful and plan what you pick.
This can only be an improvement.
I was just talking about how you can only really max out one tree, whereas in the first game you could max out two and almost all of the third one I believe.Kopikatsu said:...??? Like this build, which is equally as stupid:

It will rain missiles
He's not a playable character, so I don't see why he should.Kopikatsu said:I'm disappointed that Handsome Jack doesn't have one.
But his perk tree can give him up to 64% more smugness, and even up to 172% more witticisms! What's not to love?MercurySteam said:He's not a playable character, so I don't see why he should.Kopikatsu said:I'm disappointed that Handsome Jack doesn't have one.
I disagree about your Zer0 skill tree being overpowered. Enemies can still see you if you attack enough when invisible, and just ask Brick what happens when a class gets ridiculous melee buffs.Kopikatsu said:...??? In this game. I'm pretty sure that class kods only bolster perks. Artifacts now give abilities like health regen bonuses, fire rate upgrades, etc.WoW Killer said:Now I'm completely undecided :/
I see Zer0 has a version of Lilith's old High Velocity skill, which makes SMGs more viable with him (and meanwhile Salvador has Pistol specific skills). Still, in the original it was the class mods that gave the most bonuses to weapon types, so I'll be interested to see what the options are for those.
If this is anything like the original, then the most important skills by far are those which give ways to regenerate shields and health.
Oh, god. Gearbox, didn't you learn anything from Mordecai? The only possible way to compensate for this is to have Deception have around a 60+ second cooldown, or only allow Zer0 to attack once before becoming visible. This is overpowered beyond all hell! I liked having boss battles, not having the sniper end them instantly with a single headshot!garjian said:snipity-snip-snip
Slag is the new elemental effect. Enemies effected by it take increased damage. It's a good idea to effect something with slag and then switch to your more powerful weapon.soren7550 said:Well, here's what I came up with:

May play things out different when I actually play the game and figure out how everything works... and what Slag is.
