The "Brainless But Cool" thread

There are tons of games that qualify here, most of them are FPSs that their plot/dialogues/game depth is a joke but there are so extremely fun to play that you end up spending hours on them. Serious Sam series is an example. Any more ideas?

Painkiller and the Doom series. GTA series. Assassin's Creed. Devil May Cry series. Battletoads. Most old school games that weren't adventure/RPG/Zork-types etc.

Black is a pretty mindless bit of good fun. Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition Remix is good too, especially when I just drive around listening to Queens of the Stone Age and crash into stuff every five seconds or so (on purpose.)

Motion blur effects beat out high-rez reflective surfaces any day.

Dynasty Warriors is a contender, as are Crackdown and Psi-Ops. I think the winner is the original Drakengard: I actually beat the first level 3 times while on the verge of sleep. It's that easy.

Clu Clu Land - My favorite NES game, and when I saw it on Virtual Console I knew my Wii was back in business.

Meteos - If you own a DS and haven't played it, I strongly suggest changing that as soon as you can.

C&C Generals - Certainly one of the easiest Command & Conquer titles, but there's just something irresistible about it and Zero Hour
