The show has some odd moments and the fact that Shinji pilots robots and has a cast of females around him and is still down can be twisted for fun but people really do take the second half when everything goes downhill too close to the heart (even me though I was under depression at the time so it affected me a bit more)

My motto with regards to the series has always been thus: "If you needed therapy, you won't after watching the last two episodes of Evangelion. If you didn't need therapy, you most certainly will after watching the last two episodes of Evangelion." :3

I've seen that quote of yours before. Gotta say, as somebody who preferred the last two episodes (after getting over the shock of wtf just happened and wondering if I missed an episode) to everything else in the series it seems to ring pretty true imo.

Whatever this is about, it's gone right over my head...

It's in reference to the fact that Critical Miss has done a few strips satirizing Neon Genesis Evangelion (NGE) (one of the most influential anime shows ever)

Every time they do this, it starts one hell of an argument because a lot of people think NGE is the greatest work of art ever created and a lot of others think it's a bit shit (I'm personally somewhere in the middle).

This is a great fallback when they have no new material because it always spawns lots of views and comments. And it's damn fun to watch people rage.

Hehehe, I'm probably guilty of posting it sooner or later every time Grey does an Eva comic. The reasoning behind it is that as Shinji (apparently) sorts out all his issues in those last two episodes, it'll help you sort out your issues as well. Or if you don't have issues (i.e. don't really relate to Shinji because he's so messed up and awkward) you'll likely end up "WTF?!"ing so hard that you'll end up with some issues when all is said and done.
