The Divison PC Port Was Kept "In Check" With Consoles, Says Ubisoft

"while it could make the PC version look nicer, it would be unfair to the console editions"

Citation needed. The only quoted comments are "One good thing about The Division is we've always considered the PC as a separate platform," and "We do have to keep it in check with the consoles; it would be kind of unfair to push it so far away from them. But it's been good having a dedicated PC build for this game."

Besides, isn't this how basically ALL console ports work? Same game, slightly different controls and interface.

It's an inferior version because the hardware is inferior. And I say that whilst playing on my PS4. Why should the PC gamers be held back just because people with consoles decided to buy less powerful hardware? Just a very selfish and entitled attitude really.

Likely because the pc version came into play because of fan demand and petitions there was never meant to be a pc version, expecting them to dedicate more resources to that platform would be unreasonable and Ubi should've just said as much.

And I would have absolutely no problem with PC players getting a superior version as long as they're charged accordingly. If believing that console owners shouldn't be charged higher prices for worse versions of the same game makes me selfish and entitled then so be it

Don't blame the devs for it, blame Microsoft and Sony, who charge publishers fees to put the games on their consoles. And when I check Steam, most big games on PC are basically the same price as console equivalents these days.

And PC gamers do get charged accordingly. Their PC's cost way more than your Xbox One/ PS4 for them to be able to get the better graphics.
