(sorry to double post)

Actually, I just read a comment about online play. That would be really awesome, but they would have to devise a way to make sure quests and such don't come into conflict (like, if a particular player has done a certain quest that their friends haven't and they team up online, then there would be a problem potentially in terms of plot or guild story arcs and so on. Plus could you really envisage a world where the same quests occur over and again but have different people do them each time?)

sorry, but no. The point of ES is not to be online. That's what WoW is for. Of course, if there was a separate ES MMO that would be vaguely acceptable. But if it was an MMO it would be nigh unmodable and it would ruin any immersion whatsoever. I would liketo see more weapons, better voice actors, better fighting etc.. the usual

Then I assume many people have the "perfect" idea.

I wish for online play as well, don't worry.

No super police with all-knowing powers, Tamriel doesn't have telephones that allow instantaneous communication between one random guard in Bruma and another in Chorrol.

An evil option, just as everyone else has said.

More actors, again with the repetition.

More abilities to spend your money, to the point where you don't get high level and stagnate with an endless amount of money in which you can buy and furnish every house in the game and still have enough left over for every health potion in the Imperial City. Give us more property to buy, mercenaries to hire, or businesses to run.

Actual choice in plots, I don't like playing the rise of a man from small-time magician to arch-mage in the Mages' Guild when everything gets handed to me, how about a choice, betray an ally for money or something like that.

Certain skills need to be more useful, let me talk my way out of a fine with speechcraft.

Let me do more stuff as a guild leader, the master of the fighters' guild should be able to do more than just shake down a guy for weapons or money.

Everyone in Oblivion was devoid of humour as if they all lived the generic RPG lifestyle which made them 2d and not very fun unless you spent your whole gametime taking the piss(I certainly did)

Cliff Racers back *ducks*.

Actually, there might be something to this. When I first took my bleary eyed steps into the wilderness, I thought they were the coolest enemies I'd seen in a game for some time. This opinion changed. Ah, actually, forget it, probably be too hard to do well in a game that offers as much freedom as TES.

My ES lore isn't amazing, btw, just played through Morrowind and Oblivion. There was a big debate about fast travel earlier, boats and silt striders I do think would be the best ways of doing it. Man, I do prefer Morrowind. The landscape was so much more interesting. I would be ok if the new map was just in another province, as long as it is interesting. I loved exploring Vvardenfell, it actually felt like I was playing a fantasy game. Stalking Bull Netch and levitating atop those mushrooms to shoot those weird mule things. Began with G? Guar. That was it.

Also, reopen up the cities. I should be able to jump over the walls to make a getaway, not have to go through the guarded gates. I'm sure they've got sufficient technology to do something like that.

Just suprise me.

I hear alot of people complaining about fast traveling. If there was no fast traveling, you would complain about that. AND WALKING IS FUCKING BORING!

EDIT: AND what the f*ck was fun about morrowind?

I agree. If people don't like to fast travel, then don't fast travel. Personally I find it very useful, of course sometimes I'll go out just to explore the area but when I'm in the middle of a quest i don't want to spend an hour walking from Anvil to Cheydinhal or Bravil or wherever the hell I need to be. Especially in the guild quests where you have to keep reporting back to your Doyen or Listener or whoever.

Precicely, If you want walking, go play WoW and other MMOs. Or just run outside

How about someplace in the middle of the lead a guild/city. How about a vassalage system. You basically pledge your allegiance to one of the city's in exchange for land and money. You do mission's specific to that city(i.e. Let's say a city wants you to help capture a certain area; protect the lord from an assassination) But every mission has a twist(I.E. the area your sent to capture is full of sick and wounded civilians or the assassin is only trying to fool his superiors so the lord may live) If the Lord dies, the next most trusted person gets picked, or you could start your own kingdom. You'd fight wars with other lands, ultimately vying to control the province. Throw in some better combat, a fast travel similar to morrowind, and better leveling system,( When you face a kingdom with over 30000 soldiers, You cant just slice 'em down with a couple of swings) Plush the uniqueness of ever area could make a pretty good game

But the problem is the game is based on the plyer being able to Fast Travel, if you remove the fast travel option then it forces the Game-Designers to make a more interesting world to explore rather than Oblivions endless ugly forests.

I want pretty much everything people have said but the biggest one for me would be remove level scaling

If I'm supposed to be a hero whatever and I'm say, level 30, why the hell do they need me when the damn guards are level 40? it's bollocks. Fixed levels for all NPC's I want, even if I have to sneak around a bandit camp cos they are all to strong for me, it'd be worth actually levelling up to take them out rather than you getting stronger but then they get even stronger even though they are just stood doing nothing.

Fixed levels

Because Morrowind's endless red sand deserts and mud coloured countryside were so much better. If we face facts most of TES's fan crowd are now in their 20s or 30s, and probably like myself haven't the time or the will to trundle endlessly between points on a map.

A good story and worthwhile interaction with the NPC's.

That's about it, I liked everything else... though an option for Unscaled Monsters would be good.

Less repetitiveness. I never thought single-handedly storming a demon (yeah, I know "our demons are different") fortress in the firey depths of hell could ever turn into a stale chore. 1 really good dungeon is much better than 5 copy and paste dungeons.

It might be cool to have a VATS type system for preforming advanced maneuvers such as disarming, power attacks, decapitation, hobbling, etc. All stylized of course, a bit similar to the combat animations in KotOR (a few feints, a few blocks sending showers of sparks, and then you leap at the enemy bringing your sword down on them hard)

what if the online was better than the single player in everyway ?
