(Besides, I was in the half of the class in primary school that didn't have penpals, it's kind of something everyone should do, is it not? Looking back my school's method of selection was brutal.) Where do I sign?

anyway I wouldnt mind the idea. I once google mapped a random google location and sent a letter to the person living there just for the shits and giggles and made a meaningful friendship out of it so this is probably a way less creepy way of recapturing that.

@Lucem712: BTW, about your logo if I you don't mind a slight suggestion, I'd suggest rotating the words slightly to the left so that the Escapist 'e' isn't bisecting the word 'escapist.' Just a thought.

At this current state, many have decided that PM would be the best way and then move onto E-mail/IM (if both parties want) and even snail-mail if both parties are comfortable and willing.
