Ultra Slogan...

"What are you playing at?" Perhaps?

Worth a shot.

Reason: This slogan encompasses the questioning, burning desire for truth that an Escapist possesses, and the inquisitive and informative nature of the Magazine itself. The reference to playing does not exclude or gaming brothers from the tabletop or role-play creeds, and does pay tribute towards the purpose of the site itself without favoring any one section, informing a reader of what they can expect. In tone it is neither elitist nor flippant, balanced to neither provoke nor deter. For an added bonus, it includes all of the letters in the word 'Ultra'. It's classy, and if there's one thing the escapist means to me above all others it's a measure of class in a void otherwise lacking in it.

I ummed and ahhd over putting in the Ultra joke, but if the folks here at the escapist can't appreciate the humor then... well... bugger.

EDIT: oh, and this is as good a place as any to mention it. One of my comments on the articles got shown in the letters to the editor, but i never recieved the 'Long time listener, first time caller' badge. I don't know if your doing the old ones or not, but if you simply forgot and have the time... please sir, can i have some more?

Make sure it is submitted into the contest page or it doesn't count. Also, I'll see if one of the editors can look into that badge for you.

Okay, I have been through and read every single submission. Thank you for your patience, you should now have your badges.

If you didn't receive a badge...it was for 1 of 2 reasons:

1) You didn't submit correctly. There were some that just had the slogan. In the directions and other places, you needed to state your reason why. Take the time to read next time.

2) Your slogan was a joke. Some of these were not a SLOGAN, they were just in to get a badge and the reasoning was even worse than the "slogan" itself. For example "The Escapist" because I said so. *buzz* So, you do not get a badge for because you didn't not take this contest seriously and wasted my time.


As for picking the winners, THE CONTEST IS NOT OVER YET. I just wanted to get some badges out to people. The slogan winners are planning on being chosen late next week. So, keep submitting if you haven't already. If you did, thank you for your submission and enjoy your badge.

So, to add to all the questions, if you don't have a badge within a couple hours you prolly enter incorrectly? If so, can you then re-enter and hopefully fix your mistake?

I seem to be the only person who didn't put "The Escapist" in front of my slogan. It just seemed a bit redundant;
