While I see your point, I think that the reason movies can affect me but games can't is because the people in games...well, aren't real people. Plus, most of the time the person in a game you're supposed to feel sorry for is YOU. Um, I'm not going to feel sorry for myself.lt.overkill said:A game with a really good storyline should make you feel something though...just like movies do...and they are only moviesCriticallyAcclaimed said:See, now THIS guy gets it.Mardy said:No game I've ever played has even been close to make me feel anything.
I mean, it's a game.
Quite possibly one of the best video game endings too. There were so many emotional moments in that game, and the ending was the most satisfying 20 minutes I have ever had in my time playing games. Best thing about Kefka too was that the very second you first hear his music and his first appearance on screen, something in you just clicks, and it's instant "I am gonna hate this guy so much".Feverish said:Final Fantasy VI was pretty good for this. It was one of the first times I actually felt bad for some of the characters in the game, and yet at the same time, a maniacal smile would come across my face whenever I read Kefka's lines.
It's about time I found someone who appreciated Mafia's story, a truly sad ending. Also, The Darkness was very upsetting, Jackie Estacado will be forever tormented. =(ShotgunSmoke said:Mass Effect, GTA IV and Mafia.
This. QFT.DemonGuy792 said:Either Shadow of the Colossus or Ico.
Both had me feeling intense empathy for the hero character, incredible sadness, particularly when each colossus died and incredible joy at the wondrous landscapes presented to me.
I've never loved my PS2 so much.
