This is my thread. Behold, my avatar!

And, OT, I try to be classy, it is so much more relaxed for one thing. I have time to enjoy the good things of life!

I may not always succeed, but classiness and sophistication win the day.

"Classy" behavior is mostly a way for snobby people to pretend they're better than the unwashed masses, in my opinion.

Acting or dressing in a manner out of character for you out of a desire to belong to a better "class" doesn't make you a gentleman, it makes you a tool. So if you genuinely enjoy jazz, pocket watches, monocles and top hat, fine, but don't think it makes you any better than anybody else.

The classiest person is one who treats everyone great regardless of how they look or where they're from, and those are the classy folks I like.

I think there is still some "classy" and sophisticated people around, it's just harder to find them, and honestly they wont act like it all the time.

Sophistication has gone the way of the unicycle and the pocket handkerchief. It is merely a curiosity, and that disappoints me utterly.

I would recommend a good scotch but that's just preference. Also what happened to the art of nursing a good drink, what's with all the speed drinking all the time?
Scotch is a little too much for me, but thank you for the suggestion.

Everyone in the world is in such a hurry. We should all take time to relax and enjoy things.

You've got it all wrong, it's pocket watches that makes someone a gentleman, you know a man has it all, when he uses a pocket watch.
That and a trilby with a white suit.

That's so true, one of the best things to do is to sit outside sipping a glass of whatever you like reading.

I wholeheartedly agree, especially with the trilby.
