Hmmm, nothing specific, but I am a huge sucker for a good romance in story. I don't like it when romances ARE the story, but I do love it when two characters I like fall in love.
This, that's what made the romance part of the Mass Effect games so good; it was there and an important part of the game, but it was never the main point of the game and it never seemed shoehorned in there. The romance isn't the story, it's something that happens within the story.
Though I do like romance stories in general, so I end up reading a lot of manga since there's loads to choose from there. Problem is there's always something that really grinds my gears about them, it seems like if they get the art and premise down ok they make the protagonist into an underage bumblecunt, essentially making sure that no real progress will ever be made, stuff like that.

I can't really think of any other really guilty pleasures other than that, unless you count playing(and enjoying) games that I can't really get behind.

My guilty pleasure is... fried spam sandwiches on white bread. It may not sound like something that is something to be ashamed of, but since I went to culinary school I'm somewhat expected to cook all my own stuff and only eat healthy food. Or something like that. I also sometimes really crave what my siblings and I called "invisible meat sandwich" which was just basically ketchup, mayo, and relish on a slice of bread.

I absolutely ADORE One Piece and Fairy Tail.

I usually hate those kind of really long and drawn out shonen anime, since I despise things like Naruto and Bleach, but I can't stop watching One Piece and I can't wait for the next season of Fairy Tail. They're just so silly and awesome. I started watching One Piece when they were somewhere around episode 400 (around the Impel Down arc), and I managed to catch up to it within 2 months, meaning I was watching at least 7 episodes of it a day (and I was in college at the time, so free time was quite limited).
Well if it makes you feel better, in Japan, it's considered more of a norm to like One Piece. Second best selling manga of all time just below Dragon Ball. However considering One Piece is only half way through it's story, I wouldn't be surprised if it surpasses it in the long run.

I recently just caught up to chapter 710. Shit is so epic. I love how even after that long, it's still so good. Compared to Naruto and Bleach, One Piece has only gotten better and better.

I don't have a lot of these "guilty pleasures." Mainly because so many of the things I enjoy are more or less accepted as "awesome." But like so many of us... there are a few.

Like the 90's (and late 80's) action movies of Jean Claude Van Damme. And not just Bloodsport or the John Woo & Sam Raimi film Hard Target (which I loved so much at the time I adopted his permed mullet) but the whole catalogue. Nowhere to Run, Sudden Death, Lionheart, Timecop... bad movies but I have fun watching them.

Other bad movies I have fun watching... Split Second and Hudson Hawk. I still try and maintain that these are actually good movies that will "still find their audience." But I do realize I just like these really bad movies. I just really had fun watching Rutger Hauer as a caffeine junkie gun freak chasing a psychic xenomorph/predator, and Bruce Willis and Danny Aiello dueting show tunes to time heists.

Also, it's like a guilty pleasure to admit to "true" anime fans that you always chose English dubs over subtitles. But I always do, and really think it's just pretentious bs when the subbies all say "but you only get the 'real' performance from the ov voice actors." Also talking anime guilty pleasures... Blue Seed. It was the first "series" anime I watched and although I've seen better since... I still go back to it from time to time.

I am an avid collector of and enjoy the Spawn comic books? That counts, yes?

I also like the anime The Qwaser of Stigmata.

Dubstep is okay sometimes.

I love Bonnie Tyler. I mean her music...

Romantic comedies.

Finally, I have a collection figurines from japan of a... let's say risque nature.

This is fun. Revealing personal secrets on the internet.

I may occasionally enjoy hunting for decent romance fanfics when there's a pairing I like. I can't turn off my taste filter entirely though so I tend to stop after I run into a few of those absolutely terrible ones.

What even is good sentence structure or paragraphing?

Oh and I really like even the most generic of the comedy/romance/slice of life animes. Don't even know why. Baka to Test is still my favourite comedy anime of all time and the romance bits are actually decent.

Most modern music. I actually quite like what most would call generic modern shit; pretty much the only genre as a whole I wont tolerate would be some of the rap we've seen lately. But Skrillex, CRJ, and stuff like that are good to me. Even 1D is ok.

Also the Powerpuff girls movie. That was actually pretty cool I thought.

Well.... okay guys, for me it's.... but don't laugh at it....
I still kind of like Bleach series, because it's so dumb sometimes that it's just silly. And they can draw decently and pretty stylish (sometimes. somtimes they go bonkers and draw only some vague shapes on three pages straight)

There. That's mine.

I love reading horror manga, from Uzumaki to Franken Fran to the really grotesque stuff like some of Shintaro Kago's one-shots...

...But I also love reading cheesy shoujo romance mangas.

One Piece and Fairy Tail are my two favourite animes of all time! I have no idea how One Piece just keeps getting better and better with each arc, it defies logic!

Ouch, that scene hit me right in the nostalgia. I've seen that Digimon movie so many times when I was little, but the last time I've watched it can't be any less than 9 years ago. I might actually have to rewatch it now...

As for my own guilty pleasures, I enjoy slice of life anime and I cry a lot when something sad happens in them.
While being an avid reader of really plot-heavy visual novels, I like some of the straight up porn ones.
I liked Independence Day and Wild Wild West.

I find E-Rotic's music to be really catchy. My favorite song of theirs is "Help Me, Dr. Dick."

Don't show yourself out quite yet. I like that song, but I exclusively listen to the <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbJ0aXxpTfM>Nightcore remix.

...in fact, Nightcore remixes (especially of Nightwish songs) are another weakness of mine.

In terms of anime, which is the major focus of my existence here in this universe, my guilty pleasures have been literal guilty pleasures. Not things I "liked ironically", but things I literally feel guilty about liking. Campione and Btooom! would fall into that category.

There are some games I like in a "I like this because reasons" kind of way. Anyone ever play...these?

Best games ever, amirite?
Actually I kinda likes these too! :p In fact I suggested them in a PS2 games thread yesterday to a guy who likes platformers! :D

OT: I am a massive fan of Star Wars Lego... in particular the ships and mini figures. I really keep it from most of my colleagues though... as an officer in the military this would probably be seen as a bit too odd, but I really like it. I find building the models really theraputic, and I love the asthetics of lego!

Well, I watch anime and cartoons at age 30. Most people would already considered that a guilty pleasure.

Anyway, I guess I could say Titanic. The past few years I really come to appreciate it. Whether unintentional, the romace plot is campy, goofy silliness that's fun the watch with other people of the same opinion. And the sinking of the ship is expertly crafted.

I know it's bad, but there's just something really enjoyable about watching giant spiders eat old people and cats!

Oh, and Creepypasta. I hate it when people say "You have bad taste in Creepypasta" when I say my favourites are Barbie.avi and Squidward's suicide, considering those had the greatest impact on my ability to sleep, because Creepypasta is rarely close to good at all. Even the better ones. But Jeff is overrated.

THE RAKE

This is just my favourite depiction.

Also this:

Is it wrong to think this is legitimately good music?

Once Upon a Time. I had high hopes for this series from the pilot. Alas it's rapidly turning into Disney's Lost and not in a good way. It's getting cheesier and cornier withe every episode. And yet, I can't give it up, 'cause Robert Carlisle is such a fucking delight to watch in everything he does.

Also, Eurovision song contest. Although Norway was pretty great this year and Romania's contribution was 100 shades of awesome. The song kinda sucked, but the performer and the performance? Voted twice.
