So far I've only solved one: Beyond Good And Evil 2 and Duke Nukem Forever are two games that havent been released.

Pretty sure that chess is the oldest game in the image.
Chess is the oldest GAME, but not the oldest video game, I'm pretty sure Space Invaders the game was made before any chess games. And I'm thinking pong might be on this, it looks like an updated version but I just noticed a pong game eating away at the border just next to the monkey in the top right hand corner.

I'm going with Space Invaders still though.

I'm pretty sure it's referring to vaporware games, Starcraft ghost and DNF fit that bill!

He has the Panzer Dragoon Saga Main character on there.
Big geek creed, the game is a hidden gem, because Sega only printed 1000 Copies.
Best Rpg combat system ever created.
I would say check it out, but thats rather hard.
Getting one of the 1000 4-Disk copies is expensive, and Saturnemulation is tricky and hardeware-hungry.

E.T. , Actraiser, F-zero, Custers revenge (atari porn game, rather infamous) seems rather easy.
Though I was overwhelmed at first.
Saturn emulation its not tricky, google SSF ALPHA. played every game max fps on a amd 3000 single core. getting the game now... thats tricky. And yes amazing game.
Maybe its just me then.
But there are a few problems with Saga. For example the final Bossfight doesn't work. Which was a major bummer after getting so far.
It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who appreciates Panzer Dragoon Saga.
I'll never understand why Sega only printed 1000 copies of the game after hyping it so much.

Edit: Gametab has the rights to release Saga but they can't get the emulation to work properly.
They have the license for quite some time now. But maybe it will be possible to buy the game at some future point.

Wow, if I put my mind to it and really strained my eyeballs I could probably name a good 1/4-1/2 of those. ...maybe even 2/3 if I really really strained my eyeballs.

This is going to cause someone's head to implode. I'm not even gonna try, for fear of instant death.

Also I am not putting on my glasses for that.

Haha, thats a great job.

All I care is that Jak and Daxter are in there.

Also, what game is that freaking giant bear in the upper right hand corner from?

i named quite alot, found no bobble heads. i like to think i'm an adequate gamer. 1/4 or so. maybe 1/3.

the thing is, by naming none you're a hardcore gamer, because you're eye-sight is so bad they're all just blurry shapes.

Well, that really separates the men from the boys.

Is it bad that I can name 2 thirds of the characters?

It just says "which is the oldest game here" so I don't have to look up the first chess video game on google. :) I think that Pong thing is actually Arcanoid. Arcanoid is a Breakout clone which is more recent than Space Invaders even though Breakout is older.

Well I'm not sure about Beyond Good and Evil, but Duke Nukem Forever is definitely a vaporware game!

If I had to I could probably name somewhere between 2/3rds and 3/4ths by name or game.

The first public Chess game was 1982 I believe...there was a 1k version on the ZX81. Space Invaders beats it by 4 years. However, MANIAC I has one back in 1956...not counting the spoof one in 1769.

(I've been looking for a Space War piece and I don't think I can find one....though it's hard to tell against an Asteroid ship)

Breakout was 76 but that's an Arkanoid paddle, as has been said.
