Hmm, it good question. It depends on how you say it. It still helped Grunge bands like Soundgarden and Alice in Chains get propeled to the mainstream, where they had more hits after Nirvana was disbanded. But it can be seen that after Nirvana was played a lot on the radio after his death, grunge was dead on the inside, there now just to sell copies to disgruntled kids. So I think the true Gen Xer would not listen to any of it anymore.
So you would say the radio maybe helped kill the song in the minds of those who were exposed to it constantly after Cobains death? Thats not a bad theory actually. In that sense, has it contributed more to human culture than Beethoven's 9th? Or just contributed greatly to the grunge culture and one generation?

Seeing as it is such a modern song compared to the 9th, I'd have to say just Gen X. But those people will be in power soon, so who knows?
True, well played though sir. That was fun!

I think the Starwars 'March of the Stormtroopers' theme has but thats because I hear it every week!

My challenge is to say "Sauce on Coke" 10 times in under 8 seconds without screwing up!
The Starwars theme is very popular and well known... but has it contributed more to Western Culture?

Can you say that 10 times in under 8 seconds?
I know the Starwars theme has inspired other themes and some great bands like Queen and Metallica. Mainly just used as inspiration for many artists but I am sure it started new things. Great! Now I have to do some research!

I can say sauce on coke 10 times in 7 seconds because I did it once as a challenge someone gave me in class last year but unfortunatly, there was no prize!

Lol, there's not really any prizes on here either... unless you count respect as a prize...

I'll be interested to hear your research on the matter.

I dear someone to divide 8 by the square root of an apple pie.
Why do I think the answer is 2 for some reason? (seeing as the cube root of 8 is two...)

correct sir, it was used only once when demonstrated to hitler, he was so impressed that he ordered it to never be fired without his direction, those guy didn't have the balls to ask hitler so it was never used in combat.
