Remind me again why I want to get into this industry. The one fighting game series which is renowned for it's large story and mythos, and they throw it out the window? And I thought G.I. Joe and DOA were garbage, I ain't seen nothing yet.

I just don't understand why they always feel the need to go for tacky looking live action, as opposed to an anime style film which would look so much better and allow them to do so much more with it.

There is already an anime KoF ova that I've seen, and probably more that I haven't. It's pretty fun (if you have a rough idea of the characters and story in advance).

This movie though... *shudders* Although, the Fight World they were talking about sounds vaguely like the alternate world from SNK vs Capcom: SVC Chaos... I need to track down those comics.

My thoughts exactly, I got up to volume 5 of that I believe, I was loving it (I couldn't find the rest of the volumes). But I doubt they even realise that...

Seriously, what the fuck were they thinking. Most videogame film adaptations are cheesy enough, but king of fighters? If all the fighting games of the world were just students in a classroom (You come up with a better analogy) king of fighters would be that wierd kid who sits up the back and smells like poo, on top of being the most unpopular kid in class.

Terry is just pure bad ass... Ryu looks like the Karate Kid compared to him..
and he's reduced to a supporting character in this film?

Thats like making a Tekken movie where Eddy is the main character and Jin is some dude who tags along as an ally he meets along the way.

Hollywood, PLEASE... STOP TAKING my cherished Nostalgia and turning it into live action crap films that appeal to ONLY people who don't know what the hell the original source material IS.

To be honest, this is a KoF movie, not Fatal Fury. It it was FF, Terry would have to be the main character, but in KoF Kyo is the most obvious choice.
