why doesn't it show the boomer?
i mean it has the tank, the hunter, the witch, the smoker, even shows the car alarm going off, but no boomer.

And it should give atleast SOME back story

1. Its got to hide something from you as a surprise, and why not a face full of vomit?

2. It gives you plenty of backstory! Kill zombies or DIE. That's the whole L4D story anyway. :)

EDIT: 3. Its an awesome intro clip, and does actually give a small look at the character's personalities.

Touché but it seems to lead to nowhere without story, i mean its all good fun shooting the fuck into zombies to survive, but you get nothing at the end other than to do it all again, maybe if they put a sequence at the end for a reward or give you some sort of info it wouldnt be as dull

I think the creators were most proud of the Boomer and were saving it as a "surprise" for later in the game. I personally think it's the coolest concept of the boss zombies.

Nah, the Boomer's cool but I think the Witch is best. It's your own fault if you get killed by her, after all, and I mean, I like emo/goth/whatever girls... :) Crazy psycho ones that cry then gut you just add to the joys of L4D, in my opinion :D

I loved the beginning. When you crank the volume and here the screams of a thousand zombies and survivors yelling over the sound of bullets flying around you it really makes you want to play the game

So you require a grphically rendered "pat on the back" and a good job heres some random info about what happens to the four fake people you just used to shoot zombies with? Its all just a matter of opinion really, to me the game is entertaining for what it is, if you want a story read a book or watch a movie, hell i hear they have a comic series for this game now.
Not exactly what i meant to imply :L

I find it likely that the Boomer was amongst the corpses at the very beginning of the intro. Note that Bill picks up some green, bile-looking gunk on his fingers (which he then wipes on Francis)- there's a good chance that it was Boomer-goo. Maybe it had been shot by an earlier group of survivors, causing it to explode?

YOu never would have survived the old days. "You're a circle and you need to eat these dots and avoid the ghosts!" "The hell? this makes no sense"

I think the boomer was supposed to be a surprise.

It does. When Bill bends down to touch the hand a Boomer's legs can be seen. That stuff he wiped on Francis was Boomer bile which is why they were attacked by Zombies.

Another question I would like to raise is:Was the Screamer really cut? before every horde you hear a loud scream is it possible that this was the screamer.
