This is a dark indie puzzle game. The gameplay itself incorporates many different elements that aren't especially unique with some physics puzzles though occasionally it feels like there's some adventure game logic with them, so there is a healthy amount of challenge. What IS amazing is the atmosphere. You really feel like a lost child in an unforgiving world. Very much worth playing.

Force Unleashed 2

The graphics are a bit better and the enemies reaction to the light-saber slashes are more accurate (e.g. losing their limbs). It's a bit boring and repetitive, lacks pacing and the story feels more like an epilogue of the first game, than a sequel.

Shooting is great.
Difficulty is enjoyably hard without letting you get stuck anywhere.
Story was enjoyable and the best from all recent shooter games.
I´m a bit lazy and just changed your last sentence to my personal taste. I finished all difficulties and still having a blast with this game. Well worth the wait and personal GOTY for now.

Dark Souls

Simply put, this game is hard. This game is unforgiving. However, if you stick with it for a bit, you'll be completely absorbed by everything it has to offer. Complete with dozens of hours of content, a difficult but fair challenge, a unique multiplayer component and incredible replay value (I have seven different characters with their own play styles), Dark Souls is one of the most engrossing action-RPGs to come out in quite a while.

Amazing Combat
Deceptively Complex
HIGH replay value
Dragon's Dogma

Pretty much as said above.
Story isn't bad, just strangely absent.
Ending is perplexingly psuedo-deep and mind-bending.

Halo: Reach

[Campaign] Boring beginning, not much happened on most levels, predictable at times, the UNSC absolutely sucks at what they do.
[Multiplayer] Wide range of playlists, community-made maps suck giant sangheili balls, voting on maps you want to play is a step up.
[Everything else] Leveling system has improved from Halo 3, forge mode is awesome, firefight is still boring but is better than in ODST.

Ratchet: Gladiator/Ratchet: Deadlocked
A Ratchet & Clank game with less platforming and more shooting.
Really fun fast gameplay, standard Insomniac hilarity and adjustable difficulty so I can't curbstomp it.
10/10 - would bang.
Man I'm just sayin', if Escapist had a like/dislike system, you'd be up at least one thumbs-up.

I'm gonna cheat and do the last four games I played, because I've got things to say about them all.

First up is Enchanted Arms.

It's a very standard JRPG with a hot-blooded, fire-associated protagonist and the rest of the anime cliche pick-and-mix, and the story is mediocre at best. A lot of the dialogue is cliched and forced as well, but the combat system is kind of interesting, and there are some humorous winks to the audience.

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements (The revengenance of the retribution of the revolution)

Okay, so I've only played as a mage thus far, but the game has not made me want to try the other classes. The story is shit, the characters are terribad, character level progression follows one strict path with no variety, the controls are clunky and the 'puzzles' are just obscuring the 'continue game' button.

Borderlands (AKA 'But I wanna like this game...')

Setting is kind of interesting, characters are kind of alright, story is very basic. A shooter shouldn't need more, but this is an rpg as well, and that means enemies two levels higher than you can take a firey sniper bullet to the brain with next to no damage, then tear away your shields with one attack and slaughter you. It's annoying, is what it is, and I don't know if it's just me trying out the siren on my first playthrough, but the player is really fragile.

Fallout 3

Yahtzee wasn't kidding when he basically called FO3 and FO:NV the same game. Same engine etc. Still, it's massively atmospheric, the characters are quite interesting and the story is better than most other games I've played recently. Shooting works well, and the quests are usually quite fun. I love working on the wasteland survival guide.

Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland

New atelier game. Alchemy is fun, characters are cute.
Gameplay awesome as always.
That's all there is to it. Fans will love it, others will struggle to understand.

Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai

The best and most complete Total War game I've played to date. Great unit and funcion selection without anything feeling unbalanced, good campaign and very interesting online component. The load of information and options can be a bit overwhelming at the start of the game, but I got used to it quite fast.

Mount and Blade Warband

Not a pretty game, the combat maps are satisfactory at best, the overworld and characters are just plain ugly. Missions are very repetitive, and there's just not a lot to do. But all that doesn't matter, because this game has the most satisfying and realistic melee combat I've seen in any game, and leading a cavalry charge in this game is one of the most fun game experiences I know.

Eschalon Book II:

Isometric, turnbased, fantasy RPG.
Skill-based system, with weather conditions, light, hunger and thirst affecting your character.
A good number of quest and pretty interesting storyline too.

LA Noire

Fantastic design and look with great acting.
Shooting is a little rough.
Should have been a way to actually fail/had branching paths at things instead of retrying.

Condemned (I'm replaying it so technically it IS the last game I've played)

Amusingly Scary, doesn't utilise jump scares that much and relies on atmosphere.
First first person game that focused on Melee I played, and it did it great.
Story is great

Psychonauts.

Extraordinary children sent to a summer camp to strengthen their psychic abilities
What results afterword is much much greater, unfolding into one of the greatest adventures I've ever seen.
Goddamn hilarious as well

Diablo 3

Repetetive dungeon crawler with confusing maps and wierd art style and character design.
The male demonhunter for instance looks like a cross between Ezio from assassins creed, a wannabe gangsta and Shaggy from Scooby Doo. Also levling feels unsatisfying.

Braid.

It has an interesting gameplay mechanic, but I frequently found myself failing due to the piss poor jump controls. Good game, worth a look, but pretty much no story present, unless you feel like analyzing some vague text boxes.
EDIT - Third line. Can't believe I forgot this but stunning graphics and brilliant music.

Twisted Metal - PS3

Still fun but its not really a competition anymore in the true sense of the word.
Miss all the old characters themselves and just having the vehicles they used to drive is retarded.
Wish I had invested my money better.
